Oh, and we figured out on how to add flares to lights:

Awesome work guys, you amaze us!

That being said, we just sped up the core physics by some good 20% (no update released yet)

This may sound very dumb, but will BeamNG run with 20% more FPS than before?

Up to 20% faster depending on ram speed, gpu bottleneck etc. Should easily see 15% to 20% if your bottleneck is the CPU.
    So, yes, pretty much.

I mean its quite staggering what a modder can do if they put their minds to it (I am saying it like that because some of the modders may be female) but yeah I think its a real testament to show the devs what the modding community can really do!

Depends, if you are using only 1 car at a time with say an intel i5 and integrated graphics you will notice very little / no difference.
But if you are running a cheap amd cpu with say a r9 270 or gtx 770 then yes, your fps should go up.

    Can't wait to try

Also, please post your PostFX settings here ---> PostFX-Post-your-PostFX-settings-file-and-try-others! so all of us can try them

I am very excited for this update.
Very good job guys both modders and admins. Amazing work being seen. I think I've gotten more then what I paid for this with. Can't wait for full game

sounds like a bottleneck between the chair and the keyboard, should get that checked out.

I'm almost certain that your bottleneck is your processor. Im running an i7 processor, G-Force 660, 16 Gb ram, and the free version runs great on it... in college right now so i unfortunately don't have the funds for "the real deal"

In this game... I would say the bottleneck is your CPU, but it's more than enough for a couple of cars at the same time, don't worry. Although the game is coded really really well to use all of your cores (even HT cores on i7's!) it still is pretty demanding, in other games, the bottleneck would be the graphics card

(I don't mind the game being demanding btw. It's demanding now, in a couple of years, it's nothing haha)

It is the 650. While your processor will bottleneck you with a combo of cars, the gpu will be the bottleneck on vegetated maps. Beamng is not like any other game. It has such a wide range of loads on your gpu and CPU that it required an all around high end system for constant 60fps. So while upgrading the 650 to a 780ti will resolve that bottleneck, it will show you the one with the processor. Overall, they system is fairly balanced, and you do not have a major bottleneck. If you wanted to upgrade I would upgrade the gpu, but do not expect massive performance gains.

whats impressive is the behaviour arises naturally from the shape of the vehicle. you, as a dev team, have got to be proud of yourselves.

if I could give you rep, like on other forums, i would do so ten times over!!! Great way of explaining it!

To be honest it will still be demanding in 5 years time if it is anything like rigs of rods. As people get faster technology they start to make more complex mods. If you look at some of the first cars and maps for ror (aspen grove, dodge police) they will now run really well on a modern pc. But as pc's got more powerful people like ljfhutch made Greece and gabester created some really nice gavrils.
Rigs of rods is very old now yet it still poses a threat to my 560ti and 2500k (granted they were mid range at best when new, never mind now ).

The i5 is pretty good... Maybe it runs great on my PC because of the i7, since BeamNG uses all cores and threads
