fixed, thx
That was Quick
if I'm an idiot for it, that's fine, but i can't find the updater exe.

nevermind... i had it set up weird
Nice little update

Just a couple things-
Are you planning on making the cameras like they were before? Having it all inverted is a real pain
And also, every time I click "Spawn vehicle" when playing GridMap, the new vehicle spawns in a wall in the middle of the map. Nowhere near me. Not sure if bug or...?

Also I tried to update... wut? this happened right after I reached 100%
How is the Banana Bench results going to be affected? Will it allow for different scores?
Slidenode steering: much slide, very node, such steer, so realism, wow
awesome, just wish i could update, i keep getting this error:

and here's 2 lines that show up each time in the log:

portmap_log| NAT-PMP: error on receiving reply: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it

and

torrent_error| temporary ERROR: The network connection was aborted by the local system

EDIT: NVM, fixed it by manually port forwarding

LOL i dont even know how to update the game. can someone help pls

The game should be located in C:/Users/(username)/AppData/Local/BeamNG/BeamNG.drive by default

If you're in BeamNG.drive folder you should see a alpha_prerace folder and underneath is the updater (BeamNG.update), run it and the game should succesfully update to the newest version.
Noticed the Dashboard app now functions correctly now! Should have put that in the changelog.
I'm also getting the error "The updater is currently not able to update the software"

here is the bottom line from the update file.
Code:
file_error| updater file (C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\alpha_prerace\\updater\BeamNG.update.exe) error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
state_changed| updater: state changed to: checking (q)

vehicle spawner still spawns cars in weird locations, either the bottom of the ocean, below the map, or inside something.
what if there is no alpha prerace folder

try port forwarding the ports that the updater uses, it fixed it for me
Also getting this error. The updater makes a folder in my appdata folder on my C drive, which is not where i have the game installed, and then goes to this error. Support for moving the game out of the default location would be great.

It doesnt matter, you are searching for the updater only.

Which ports did you forward?

Also that how to update doesn't apply to win 8 users lol we don't have a start menu.
I have my license and I try to put it in but it says my license code is invalid also my update launcher says update.exe.old
(I'm on windows 8)
