Its been bugging me for a while that there are no threads where you can just talk about car related stuff, we have many car threads but those are just limited to 1 basic topic so yeah.

I saw this. You fuckin wot m8?

Personally, if i was to buy a certain car, and it would be made in a wagon version, i would always try to find a wagon instead of sedan, because they are just so much more practical, also at times more beautiful
If you could get a Beamer e46 Sedan or Wagon for free, same specs, same everything, which one would you pick?

(I had to use this 1984 model, as modern Peugeots are simply too hideous to be shown on a public forum :p)
We do, unfortunately. Every time one goes by I impulsively look away:p

On the plus side, we did also have the rather sexy 504, which sometimes show up. I don't ever recall seeing a 205 though. That said, old (proper) Peugeots are rather rare, which is not exactly true for newer ones.

Don't worry, the AUDM is also EUDM
the US one has very simple styling and gives the "cheap" toyota feel they had in the 90's, the JDM version is nuts because JDM, and the last one is there because they felt like europeans and australiands don't like cheap and simple looking cars, such as the USDM one.

That AUDM Corolla is also available in Europe.

    EDIT: Ninja'd by Atomix

EDIT2: Let's contribute. The first generation of the Volvo S80 with the 2.4 170 hp are much more economic and underrated than you might think. I drove one of these a few weeks ago, and it's a very nice car to drive, you have plenty of power for everyday driving and overtaking. Here comes the economy part: If you drive like a sensible person, withing the speed limits, you can get 6.5L/100KM, in a old Volvo with a 2.4 4-cylinder engine! I think that's incredble.
Just compare that to my Audi 80 with a 1.8 4-cylinder that averages 8.8-9.2L/100KM.

Makes sense, this would have been a better solution though:

    JDM:

    AUDM/EUDM:

Worked pretty well in the 70s:cool:

Need to sort the exhaust out, the previous owner put a stupid exhaust manifold on that sits far too low.

She does sound like all hell is breaking loose! (Might post a video at some point) But I can't get over any speed bumps.

Might put a the original style one from my scrap/parts car onto this one.

Any suggestions on nice sounding exhaust systems?

How do you think a Porsche 944 base would be for a first car. I have been driving so it wont be the first car I've driven. I've been looking for a car to buy because I hate the car my mom gave me. the base model goes for 3,000-5,000 USD in a good-great condition. Any thoughts?

How much do you think maintenance would be?

Probably more than what you would expect. My family owns mostly older BMW's, and the maintenance on almost any older German car is astronomical, and I don't see why Porsche's would be any different. Read up on Porsche forums, and if you aren't scared off, go ahead and buy it.

    EDIT:
Also, I found a very clean 1990 Mazda Miata with 31,000 miles on it. Might end up waiting for a 4th gen Honda Prelude Si to come up for sale around here. I'm a bit over 6 feet tall, so I'm not sure how well I would be able to fit in it. Any thoughts?

    It's a 1968 MGB GT.

    And here is some noise!

And yes, I am still learning to drive (got my test soon though)

I'm around 6ft 1" and I can fit in my friends MX5, your best bet is to go and a look.
