Giorgi had above average car control skills. @Shotgun Chuck made a criticism that these guys used quick jerky inputs instead of looking ahead and using slow deliberate inputs that were severe enough to just barley get the car going where you want. on a track under ideal conditions you can plan a few turns ahead and position yourself. in heavy traffic, your changing course so often that it's impossible to plan ahead and all you can do is react, hence the constant left and right. he also was probably doing that partially to manage where the weight of the car was, like a snowboarder going from edge to edge to maintain some kind of instant control authority. I'm betting the hardest part of driving his bmw is getting the car to change directions in a controllable manner. it's pretty softly sprung, wich heavily plays into the concept of you can't have both great agility and stability at the same time. mid drift his car is planted and predictable. I sometimes controversially advocate driving fast on public roads, but I do that at night when civilians are few and far between, and I always have at least a quarter of a mile to avoid the next car. rest in peace georgi, wherever you are, your there getting sideways.

He actually seems really skilled and honestly I dont think endangering others is THAT bad, at least some people get to have a little bit of excitement in their life. :\ the most stupid thing he did their was FILM it and even go as far as to put it online, hell if I did something like that I'd be afraid to even have it on tape in case for whatever reason the house got searched. and secondly I'm even more confused as to how he was able to drive that precisely I've crashed into a parked truck at 10mph and that was actually WITH me paying attention to the road. Regardless though it takes a real idiot to drive like that in their own car, if it was a friends car or it was stolen then its more understandable.

I honestly have no clue how people like you aren't way more worried about YOURSELF I'd honestly RATHER drive fast in heavy traffic because at least that way if I crashed it would be into something that can roll and has a crumple zone rather than driving off a cliff, slamming into a light post or something else, I couldn't give a damn about other people when its also MY life on the line. And another question is just why not get a safer, cheaper, and legal hobby instead(even if in my experience a lot just cause depression) there seems like so many stupid risks to yourself in a situation like that.

Stop. You're saying that you'd rather kill someone than stick with traffic. The solution is not crashing by not speeding.

I mean... I drive like a bit of a dick in traffic myself. It's pointless, useless, and needs to be eradicated.

This is coming from the same person who was ticketed 55 in a 25 residential zone and drives 85-90 mph in the rain. I don't really desire to take anyone out, but if I end up killing myself in a big fireball, that's the way it was meant to be.

    I live for speed.

I don't drive like a dick in traffic or the rain. There's a time and a place.
    I hit 115 in a 45 last week.

No I'm saying if I was going to speed I would rather do it in traffic so I have crumple zones in case I crash, but yes, I would rather kill someone and possibly survive myself than to just crash and die. And likewise just because you aren't speeding doesn't mean you wont crash, I crashed in broad daylight going less than half the speed limit into a stationary car while I was paying attention and I by no means consider myself to be a bad or careless driver but everyone makes mistakes. I've even driven in the oncoming lane at times without really realizing it until I was yelled at about it.

I believe Sergeant Hartman has a question to ask that 370Z driver...

But seriously though, I do not get why someone like him would be flying down the highway like that with no respect for traffic laws. Even if you're doing it just to get the views and subscriptions on YouTube, you should be doing that on a closed course, not public roads. Driving like that could result in a hefty reckless driving fine, possible jail time, and worse, vehicle impounding. One wrong move of the steering wheel, the 370Z could end up crashing into another car, guardrail, or a tree at 100-150 MPH, which could end in serious injury or worse, death.

If there's a lesson to be taught from that video, it would be not to drive like a complete jackass who've been playing too much Need For Speed games or Grand Theft Auto for that matter. Driving like that should be limited to, and only, to the race track.

Whatever man than the hobby isn't for you. nothing wrong with having a tough time driving. I'd rather not hit a car actually. I've wrecked 3 cars driving like there is no tomorrow and every time I was no where near any other cars when it happened. all three times I lost control, I was overcome with a sense of calm. knowing what I know I can't not chase that dragon.

And not noticing you're in the oncoming lane screams careless. I've never done any of those things and wouldn't call myself more than an acceptable driver.

There was a right turn probably a half mile up ahead so my first thought was to go to the outside lane to use as much of the road as possible in case the car didn't have a good enough turning radius to take the corner normally.
Accidents happen no matter how much attention you pay, I was even saw the car before I hit it.
I'd say the bigger lesson is if you are going to drive like a dumbass DON'T upload it to anywhere public, hell dont even have the file of it on a computer, if you REALLY feel like you need to record it and save a recording then keep it on a micro SD card that you have hidden in something but if you have fake licence plates then there is kinda little reason not to drive like that for the thrill of it if there won't be legal repercussions, hell I'd almost want to do it purely for the sake of pissing people off. It doesn't really matter if you are on a race track or not, crashing is still dangerous but on a road you would at least have a possibly more survivable crash if you hit another car.

Pretty much all hobbies aren't for me, and just because I crashed at 10mph and drove on the wrong side of the road a few times in no way means that I have a tough time driving. I was in perfect control of the car and very aware of my surroundings, and why on earth wouldn't you have stopped after wrecking three cars, I'd probably just be sitting around depressed about all the money I've wasted, actually I'd probably do that even if I didn't crash and would sit around depressed about the extra wear on the car as I said, unless the car isn't yours you have to be completely insane to drive at speeds.
Aren't you worried about speed cameras? I'd be afraid to even get near the speed limit because of them it doesn't matter if a road is empty, in fact you would probably be better off driving like a dick in traffic than when nobody else is around partly because other cars would work as crumple zones if you crashed and partially to possibly avoid cameras.

I've yet to actually even spin out. I once got really close with the Mustang, but it was, like, a quarter spin and I got her back. It's odd, I can feel when a car is about to do something bad. Literally in the seat of my pants there's a little "umm, calm down" from the car and I back off.

I wish I got really in to cars earlier than I did. I'd give anything to be a racing driver.

What kind of fucking car that wouldn't corner normally at all? There's the thing of using the brakes and slowing down for the corner. Regardless of how this right turn was, taking the "outside" incoming lane guarantees crashing into an oncoming vehicle, No matter if there isn't anyone coming the other way, nor if you can see clearly. I'm pretty sure this was even mentioned in the driver's handbook that I'm pretty sure you have read to even get your driver's license, or permit in that matter. The road's big enough for most vehicles of any size to take corners without even having to drive on the oncoming lane, unless you were driving down some back road. But even still, you don't fucking take corners without slowing down or "take as much road as possible because the car didn't have a good enough turning radius."

Either use the brakes, or if the car can't even turn left or right properly, than it isn't road legal at all.

Practice makes perfect my young friend. You learn the most about where the edge is by going over it. One was in the snow on the hiway, one was on the Jackie Robinson coming back from Brooklyn at 2 am with some hot greasy roads. One time I had a pretty serious loss of pressure in the brakes going down a hill, and going thru an intersection/turn there was a nice pile of sand sitting there. That one I came pretty close to dying yet both myself and my passenger got out of the totalled car unscathed. So only 1 of those times I was even pushing the car at all yet all taught me invaluable lessons. There are 2 types of hi performance driving enthusiasts: those who have crashed and those who will.

I took corners in it at about 5 to 10 mph in it anyways so its not like I needed to use brakes, and no it wasn't a backroad, residential roads actually and no the car also was not street legal in my state and I knew that it had a terrible turning radius(although in hindsight it probably could go around a 90 degree corner without having to drive in the oncoming lane).

Just because you are an enthusiast of something doesn't mean you'd ever try it though, I'm sure there are tons of high performance driving enthusiasts who have got more tickets from driving too slow than they have for speeding.

Are you referring to my paranoia about speed cameras or paranoia about storing evidence of reckless driving?

I've only spun once, and that was because of an error on my part. I was having fun in snow, and over-corrected. Instead of lifting, I put my foot to the floor in 3rd and lost it (Snow tires + wagon weight over back wheels can only help so much). I went in the ditch, but I got really lucky and didn't hit or break anything
The road where I spun is a favorite of mine though, because it's extremely rare to see another car and i know the area like the back of my hand. The key to having fun is to do it where no one else is effected. Don't mess around in the city, and don't mess around when there's traffic or other people nearby.

The main concern are if there are police or speed cameras in the area most drivers and pedestrians probably wouldn't bother ratting you out. if anything it might be better to drive recklessly in more populated areas because the police and highway patrol won't expect it I'm sure they would be much more likely to be hiding away among trees near a rarely used road waiting for someone to take advantage of the space than there would be driving around town, or at least that's what I would assume
