    I really really like this mod and espacilly the fbi car.

    But what really anoys me is how slippery the car is.

    this fbi car spawn with the 15x9 vector wheels , ive spend now i think an hour to make the tires more grippy but with no succes.

    Let me tell you want i have done.

    i have went to : oldsfullsize_oldsmobile_addon.zip\vehicles\oldsfullsize\customwheels

    and opened the Vectors_15x9.jbeam file and changed the frictioncoef from 0.5 to a higher number even 10.5 but nothing happens in game , am i missing something?

    thanks

    It MIGHT be the fact its an old mod for the game, sometimes older mods do not exactly work on the newer version of the game

    You are editing the FrictionCoef on the wheel's jbeam, not the tire's jbeam. That's why there is no difference when you change the value. You need to edit the tire's jbeam, but this mod uses the vanilla tires made by the devs.

    Actually it depends if its the wheels or the tires. It should not be the wheels since those are only the rims, tires will change the grip

    thank you so much , i found the correct file and then the correct tire size and it worked.

    now last me only one question how can i make sure that only the fbi car uses my edited tire file and not other cars , since i think more cars use this tire file?

    EDIT: i think i figured it out , i let know tomorrow if it works.

    so thanks for RyMcC22 pointing out this mod uses vanilla tires thanks for the tip.

    the 15x9 vectors come with 245_60_15_sport tires.

    the vanilla tires are located in \contentvehicles \common.zip\vehicles\common\tires and then the ''tires_R_27.jbeam'' file.

    copy and past the whole section of the 245_60_15 tire so you have 2 indentical sections of the same tire BUT one section you want to add a custom in this line:

    "slotType" : "tire_R_15x9",

    i chose for:

    "slotType" : "tireFBIOLDSFULLSIZE_R_15x9",

    in the fbi tire section change the frictioncoef to you liking , higher number=more traction/grip (we are still in the ''tires_R_27.jbeam'' file.)

    //general tire values
    {"nodeWeight":0.17},
    {"nodeMaterial":"|NM_RUBBER","hasTire":true},
    {"frictionCoef":1.70}, <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<located here.
    {"triangleCollision":false},
    {"pressurePSI":"$tirepressure_R"},
    {"maxPressurePSI":1500},
    {"dragCoef":10},

    exit and save and press yes to build to archive or something (i use winrar)

    now go to you mods folder, and go to oldsfullsize_oldsmobile_addon.zip\vehicles\oldsfullsize\customwheels

    and open the ''Vectors_15x9.jbeam'' file and locate this line: (its around the 11th line)

    ["tire_R_15x9","tire_R_245_60_15_sport", "Rear Tires"],
    and change that line to to the EXCACT same name as you entered in the tireR27 jbeam file so it would become:

    ["tireFBIOLDSFULLSIZE_R_15x9","tire_R_245_60_15_sport", "Rear Tires"],

    save exit and it should all work
