My new video card arrived today. It's time to build the map less FPS friendly! ...just kidding! Still working on a better framerate.
Neat! What's your full current setup? And how do you deal with the dust, seems like there's none of it
I clean it every 1-2 month. And there are removable small plates (don't know how they are called in english) between the case and the fans, so that the dust can't get inside the case. Current setup is a i7 5820K, 32 GB Corsair DDR4 Ram, Asus Strix 1080 OC, Samsung 512GB SSD, 2x WD Blue 2 GB Harddiscs, Corsair 860 watts power supply and Windows 10 Pro x64. CPU and RAM will be changed the next few weeks.
Why change it? I mean you cant get much better than i7 and 32GB DD4 Do you use compressed gas or vacum cleaner for the dust? BTW You forgot mention the motherboard, its Asus I guess.
I am just using a small anti static brush for cleaning. Mainboard is an Asus Rampage V socket 2011-3. I am changing the CPU because of the PCIexpress lanes. The 5820K doesn't support all 40 lanes...so I'll replace it with an i7 6850. And the new CPU supports faster RAM (2400 MHz instead of 2133)...so i'll replace the Corsair Vengeance CL15 2133 with 64 GB Corsair Dominator 2400 CL10.
Yes...I am still alive and working on the BETA4 update. There will be two stadiums...both can be reached through the tunnel. In front of the entrance is a 2-floor car park...with connection to the grandstands (elevators for visitors) and a direct connection to the stadium for participants. Pictures will follow later or the next days! Stay tuned! --- Post updated --- It's picture-time. Early WIP. Let me know what you think!
Great work! Now I can finally see how much effort is put in this. Must be great feeling testing the stuff you added for the first time
Nice video! Would you say that it's easier to create structures like this one in sketchup and then port it to blender, than just making the structure in blender?
I never worked with Blender. I just use it for exporting to COLLADA and for creating animations. I don't want to learn it as long as I am able to do everything I need with SketchUp.
Cool. Is this the other arena (the freestyle arena or whatever it was called)? I was thinking more an slippery ice arena with obstacles. So basically an freestyle gymkhana track for low powered cars, but this works too.
A few days without updates... I received my new computer parts (RAM and CPU), so the last few days my PC was completely disassembled But now everything works fine and I can continue my work on BETA4. Maybe I'll show you some new stadium pictures later...
I can work with sketchup too, if you want some things to be made, I can do it --- Post updated --- @MysteryManGER how about a multi-purpose arena with an oval and stunts in it? I made one with an angle and a tunnel
Looks very good! But you have to invert the surface inside Why don't you start creating your own map?
