Presumably they didn't understand the context behind the image.

There's something that's been on my mind.

I've been interested in getting a better computer for BeamNG.drive in the future, since the laptop I'm using right now doesn't meet its requirements completely. I've seen this one computer advertised called the Omen X, and I've been wondering if it would be a good PC to invest in for the sake of BeamNG.

Here's a site I found with some specs.

I also posted in a thread in the Computer Hardware section.
    What do you guys think?

Just saying dude, but the Omen X will be VERY expensive due to it being a prebuilt and also having an entirely custom case, so if you have the money yeah go on but you could get an equal PC for probably much less if you build it yourself.

I've been thinking about upgrading my system, waiting to see how Ryzen stacks up to Kaby lake before I pull the trigger. Might just stick with my old I5 though, still does what I need it too.

I would consider building a PC, but since I don't know how to, I think it'd be better for me to just get a prebuilt one that can get the job done.

Yeah, I suppose so, but do you have £3,000?

Not right now. I've looked at some prices, and some of them go as low as around $500.

It won't be the only computer I'm going to consider though. My only goal with a future computer is to get one that can run BeamNG.drive better than the one I'm using right now.

The cheapest actual Omen X is $1,599.99, the case only is $500. There's one for $850 though, if you're insisting on HP.

With your post count, I'm surprised you haven't seen other threads about prebuilt computers. If you've never built a PC before, of course it'll look daunting but the amount of video guides/specs/information on the web is huge. There really is no excuse for not building your own and either getting better specification for the same price or saving literally hundreds. This is all from experience btw - I built my own PC just by reading up on it and following guides on youtube.

    Which one is that?

I've seen threads for other prebuilt computers, but none for the one I mentioned. This conversation started because of that specific one.

I get what you'all are saying with tutorials. I could change my mind and try. But right now, I don't have the funds to do it. I'm only planning at the moment.

This one. It may not be the cube one, but it's still good.

Which is oddly cheaper than one with a worse GPU.

I would advise looking at lesser known more gaming desktop specialist companies. I don't really know about many in the US, however if you pick up a copy of PC gamer they are usually filled with adverts for them. Then have a look at them comparing prices. Alternatively you can google around for US based system builders.

Yeah. Exactly what I did when I bought my PC (as I couldn't build one at the time) and I got it for £420 without Windows.
From now two of my friends have bought the same model.
