This pack includes nineteen skins and presets for the Burnside with more to come later. These are fairly accurate recreations of real 1950's police liveries. Included so far are paintjobs for the NYPD, NY State Police, Chicago PD, Illinois State Police, Texas Highway Patrol, Iowa Highway Patrol, Michigan State Police, Detroit PD, Utah Highway Patrol, Ontario Provincial Police, Toronto Metropolitan Police Accident Squad, City of Lincoln Park Police, Indiana State Police, Massachusetts State Police, New Hampshire State Police and South Carolina Highway Patrol. Also included as a bonus are three U.S. Army skins for the Burnside including a Military Police car, a dechromed Army car, and an Army car with chrome.
These do look fairly plain and don't have much flash. This is intentional. I made these by referencing photos of real police cars of the era and tried to make these skins appear as close as possible to their real life counterparts. Most cop cars in the fifties didn't have any fancy graphics and in hindsight were probably poorly marked, at least by today's standards.
Hopefully you guys will like these and have fun with them!
Installation: Easy. Drop the zip into your mods folder, typically located here...
"C:\Users\Owner\Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods"
That's it! These presets will then show up under the Burnside in the vehicle selector.
Notes: When upgrading to the latest version of this mod just delete the old one from your mods folder and drop the zip for the latest version in its place. If the car is white and has no skin when you spawn it this is usually caused by a conflict with another mod for the same car. Also, don't forget to clear your cache with every BeamNG Drive update! Lots of potential problems/conflicts can crop up by running the game with the old cache still in place.
