I have been seeing a handful of threads where it is posted "I searched but found nothing" after someone tells them about the search function. Usually that's because the default search settings display topics when posts contain your text, so you could search "hello" and get "My youtube channel" as a result. I've created this thread to show how to achieve a more "google-like" search. 1. Click Advanced Search (imported from here) 2. Click Single Content Type (imported from here) 3. Type your keywords and select Search Titles Only, and use the following settings (imported from here) 4. Get results! [I changed the query to Ford Crown Victoria] (imported from here) Hope I helped
Re: [Tutorial] How To Search Efficiently This should totally be pinned on the main forums page in some way.
Re: [Tutorial] How To Search Efficiently Not only should this be stickied but a link should be placed in the Posting guidelines you see before you make any posts. People need to see reminders to search in more places so maybe they will actually use it.
