    So I have a wired 360 game pad, works fine and have used it on many games so I know it has nothing to do with the pad itself. When I get in game, I can mash all the buttons and flip all the joy-sticks to no avail. From what I can tell there isn't an option to turn the game pad on or off.

    I have this odd feeling it has something to do with the fact I have Windows 8 on this computer. If anybody knows anything or has any fixes it would be much appreciated.

    Going to start with the obvious.

    You're making sure to plug it in THEN start the game, right? A lot of programs don't like joypads being plugged in while they're running.

    I am having this same issue, it's the game stop branded Xbox gamepad (doesn't work in NFS world either.)

    My solution was to take one of the original 360 input maps and then put this 360 pad's GUID in the map's name, and in the GUID area inside the the input map itself and it works just fine now. I'm using a 3rd party 360 controller which is the Afterglow Gamepad, which isn't currently in the current selection of input maps.

    XD I'm a complete idiot, I was changing the files in the tech demo not the DRIVE version...... Well now to test the input settings.
    (Edit: Tested and working fine now.)

    That line is supposed to look like this:

    Code:
    // axes: 4^X^Y^Z^RZ
    I too was inclined to type like you did "//axes: yaxis (axis), ..." if I were to follow the instructions. I didn't understand were they got http://puu.sh/2ONxs.jpg (maybe it was peculiar that our hardware didn't invoke such line on the log in the first place), but I did something that looked like the example and it worked. Replace that line to something similar to the above (some variations worked as well, so there's room for error) and you might get it working too. If I were to follow the logic I used, yours would be something like 5^Y^X^RY^RX^Z

    Also remove comments in parenthesis like "(<- Guid goes here too)".

    Again I'm not sure if needed, just trying to help meanwhile someone who knows it right does not explain. I can only attest that it worked for me as careless as I was.

    By the way, lots of the template functions were unkown in game. So I recommend to get more info from the example http://wiki.beamng.com/Playing#Advanced_controller_setup than said template.
