What happened to CryEngine3

    When this game started out the game was in CryEngine3 but it sense has change to Torque3D. What or why did the devs change the game engine for? The engine before looked pretty good but I dont know for certain.

    Now it looks better than back then, except that we lack Global Illumination.

    I hope BeamNG and Torque grow together. I really fear the idea of trying to mod vehicles or make maps in any language other that c++. Perhaps in the distant future Beam could be
    running on CE3 and Torque.

    What do you mean by this?

    Having two separate versions on different engines like this would likely be a logistical and financial nightmare.

    Literally yes. If Beam were to ever migrate to something else a Torque community would likely continue on and could be a supplement to
    to the higher end version. Merely musing on my end.

    Right now c++ isnt used for vehicle or map modding, you should run away in fear.
