While driving the Civetta Bolide on the industrial site, this happened:

This only happens with this car, on this area of sand, and always happens without fail. It's a strange one.

Happened to me too, in other circumstances. I guess it's the physic engine crashing.

    Alpha.

K (cycle debug) doesn't make it go away? We're working on solving this now :)

Yeah, it happened two more times after I made this thread, once by losing a wheel on the dirt track in the Civetta, going over a jump, and landing.
The other being launched out the side of a hill due to ctrl+R.

Goes away straight away whether by going through the debug menus / alt+F1 etc. Just thought it was strange.

    Keep up the great work.

We've fixed the physics engine crash with the Grand Marshal (and hopefully other cars) by fixing a code bug that would make 0-spring beams divide by zero while calculating the deformation (causing the crash). This fix might also fix the physics engine crash you've experienced.

Edit: Seems to be fine now.

I'm afraid this is still occurring, but I have a bit more info on the issue.
This only happens when the bumper/fender/front of the car touches the sand before the wheels. I can drive on the sand perfectly and it is fine if the vehicle lands on its wheels, but if the nose touches the ground first, it enters debug mode.

Same thing happens to me as well but with mythbusters cadillac. When ever I use the cadillac on the downhill map, it hits a rock and go's airborne then hits something else causing it to go into debug mode.

Feels like something is writing into memory and causing a similar event to induce a debug mode.

But that's just me applying video game logic in a rather complex physics system.

The exploding while touching sand is an unrelated bug (related to the sand itself).

But you should now be able to drop the Grand Marshal from 150 meters and not have it crash the physics engine.
