Turn down or turn off SSAO in the Post FX options Menu

If your graphics card is not powerful enough to run the game you can try the following to improve your frame rate.

    • Disable SSAO (ambient occlusion) ~50% FPS gain
    • Lower lighting quality (shadows) up to ~25% FPS gain
    • Last resort - "lowest" lighting quality (shadows) up to ~100% FPS gain

Any other options? No difference in fps for me on different settings because my GPU is good enough but the physics really bring my fps down.

I guess that is a CPU issue then, rather than a GPU issue - I have the opposite problem (good CPU but average GPU).

Not sure if there's much you can do about that :(

AMD CPUs will cause lag with larger vehicles due to lower instructions per clock, and that GPU is terrible. Terrible, terrible. Integrated graphics are equal or stronger. So yes, you should plan to upgrade your GPU.

Make sure you don't have a search browser open in the back ground, its is almost impossible to run a games with a decent fps with a browser open, unless you have like a super good computer.

    No, no?
If you have problems running BeamNG just because your browser is open in background then your PC has serious problems with performance.

    Also, old thread bumped.

Please note this thread is from 2015.
Also, your specifications are below the minimum requirements, in particular your 'Intel HD Graphics'.
That's why your game lags, that hardware is not much suitable.
