"Welcome to the New Generation" The 1994 Covet is the end result of small project that ended up far, faaar bigger than I thought it would be. **Be sure to delete all previous files and wipe cache before updating** **UPDATED 10/15** -updated engine sounds -updated thumbnails **nonUPDATE 5/24** -added UV layout PNG to OP **UPDATED 5/6** -added hillclimb config and parts -remade old race config -new race skin (old one still selectable) -remade old rally config -new rally skin (old one still selectable) -added proper 2-part tailgate -fixed weird rear bumper instability -new thumbnails by user @Yottabyte1024 -beta original civic interior parts added (WIP) -beta "Solstice" (Del Sol) body/parts added (WIP) **UPDATED 3/28** -fixed signal lights turning on when low/high beams are on -added temporary fix to front mudflaps/splash guards deformation -fixed incorrect colors on race config -temporary fixes to carbonfibre parts **UPDATED 3/19** -fixed colors **UPDATED AGAIN 3/17** -fixed incorrect signal materials **UPDATED 3/17** -fixed missing materials on fartcan exhaust **UPDATE 3/16** -fixed material conflicts -fixed material error with hatch2_chmsl -included UV maps -fixed missing hood emblems Based on the Civic of the same era, and mashed together with a bunch of bits and pieces from the old Covet and the late Pessima with a bit of 200BX mixed in. Currently all Covet configs have been remake (with some twists), as well as one new config. Each config has all three sets of thumbnails (vehicle selector and both garage thumbnails), as well as complete performance statistics. SOME AWESOME MEDIA STUFF: BUGS: -some of the mesh parts don't quite line up -the taillights are a bit weird in how they're attached -the bottom-half of the tailgate doesn't open (yet) -a bit of odd spikes by the mudflaps in some crashes CREDITS: -Microsoft/Turn10: The original model (most of it, anyway) -The BeamNG team: for making the game and the rest of the models used--- Post updated --- Just a note; this would've been on the respository, but it can't since it has assets from other games (FORZA), one day I might redo a bunch of the parts to let it be respository-compliant, but after all the time I put into this, I honestly cannot be bothered to do that kind of work on it.
Awesome MOD! And brilliant badge-engineering A little suggestion: Since the current official Covet is '87~91, EG/H/J Civic is '91~95, I think this car should be '92~97
I can't help but admire your excellence... It took what? 1 month for this to be released? There wasn't even time for the betatest complaining to start!
Also, I feel I should let you all know that the engine-bay position and geometry are the same here as on the original covet. Meaning that if you have an engine mod from the covet, even if its a custom model, you can just drag and drop it into the folder and itll work. No remodeling required. You don't even need to make any jbeam changes either, since all of the engines here use the hatch_engine slot. Just drag and drop.
Wait where is the ricer config? its not realistic enough, nah just kidding this mod looks great. Still waiting for a 1996 Covet.
My dashboard gets the "no texture" message when I spawn the original covet after spawning this one I keep clearing my cache... P. S. Its the original that gets no texture
Great Make , but it make the original covet shows no texture at it's dashboard . . . BUT still a great mod !
You will need to go and redo some of the manage materials, to make sure your mod doesn't conflict with other covet mods and the original. If you put on the ricer front bumper, it has textures on it that aren't usually there. If you spawn a covet or another covet mod it gives that dashboard no textures. It's annoying. I do suggest you fix these bugs as quick as possible.
Some things to fix (ignore that tailgate thing, I just didn't know it is wip) If you fix these, this will be one of the best mods ever.
New update is up! Fixed a bunch of stuff. I know about the color issue. I'm working on fixing it but for now, the choice is either reflections with inaccurate colors, or matte with accurate colors. The missing lettering is due to me not having made the zxi, hx lettering. They will be added when i finish them. The hood logos are/should be fixed tho. The tailgate is a 2-part tailgate (which existed on the 94 civic) ;the top opens up and the bottom opens down. I just didnt get to jbeamning the bottom part to open yet.
I really like that mod but I have some suggestions: 1. Use Vtec 2. use the original interior included in you .dae , its pretty messed up tho; if you want a fully functional dashboard , I offer my help (just pm me)
