Low FPS in Beamng DRIVE

I'm having some trouble playing Beamng DRIVE on my laptop. I'm getting around 5-12 FPS in the Alpha version , but in the demo I was getting 27 FPS.
My specs are: 2.3ghz intel i3 processor Dual core
Intel HD graphics 3000
6GB RAM

I have everything set to lowest or off in the settings.
I was able to run Rigs Of Rods on medium settings with 30 cars and 13 maps and got around 40 FPS.
I have 2 graphics cards one is the Intel HD 3000 and the other Nvidia Geforce GT525m 1 GB.
But I can't use the nvidia card for some reason. When I set it to the nvidia card in the game's options it says "GFX zero Device".
Then it tells me to restart the game to use these settings and I do that and then it goes back to the other card when I start the game back up.

Any help is appriciated and sorry for my English

 

A laptop is not very good for playing games, it will slow down to keep it from overheating..

I think there is something that makes the tech demo faster/alpha slower, since a lot of people have said that the alpha is slower than the demo.

 

Yeah true, if you could upgrade your processor maybe it would help.

 

A) laptops usually dont have user serviceable processors, its a rarity at best and increasingly so.

I've got a new computer now. Intel I5 3450 3.1ghz processor quad core 8 gigs of RAM and Nvidia gt640 1gb graphics card.
