*SOLVED* Can't install fully - FATAL ERROR: unable to download file: version.txt

I just bought this games and am stuck in the install:

I've looked at every solution on this entire site, installed it to different directories, re-installed, ran as admin and it still doesn't work. Technically, it does say it's installed but when I try to run it it can't find the .exe. Help!

EDIT: Tried restarting my PC, still nothing, just 'Couldn't resolve hostname' again. Running the launcher directly says that it's can't find the game's .exe file...

Turn your AV off temporarily and try to reinstall it again. Something is blocking the games updater from reaching the servers.

I managed to get 0.3.0.1 working with the temp fix from the sticky thread on here, but I need the updater working to get it up to date (obivously)

What do you mean by AV? Router?

SOLVED! I removed my proxy!

Chances are if your asking that question you dont have a proxy. Windows by default doesn't have one, you have to manually set one up first. Of course if you havent done that then you wont need to disable it and if you have done that then you probably wont be here.

No I was messing around with it later and got it to work, It had worked before and then suddenly stopped for some reason. I do have a proxy and I have disabled it. It works fine again now and thanks for the help everybody.
