    Hello BeamNG,

I'm very impressed of your work. You did an amazing job. I have got some questions about your work on CryENGINE 3.
In my school we have got a project-week and my team wanted to make a crash simulation with CryENGINE 3.
    My questions are:

    1. We have many Problems with the Exporter from 3ds Max to CryENGINE 3. Any advice?

    2. How to replace the player with a car?

    3. Need to know how I insert the Physics for the mesh. Which files i must edit or change?

It is very important for me to know. I hope you can help us.

    Greetings Nick

They are using torque 3D now, not cryengine.

    1.Sorry, can't help.

    2.Press F

    3.There are tutorials on that.

These physics aren't included in the CryENGINE. They're a seperate physics engine which is not released yet. Apart from that, the team has switched to the Torque3D engine now, rather than CryENGINE 3... As for the specific answers to your actual questions, I cannot give you detailed information because the engine is not released yet, but I guess what I wrote above is still pretty important for what you want to do...

On 3 if you mean make it deform like the videos, that is not possible. The beamNG team is coding that and it is not public yet.

I would like to know the basics. I don't want to do the same as BeamNG.
Does anyone have an idea to give me some information where I can find details on this topic.
I found this link "http://freesdk.crydev.net" but it is a bit complex.

Does someone have got any ideas?
It is very important for me.

    Thanks Nick

This is not the place for CryENGINE3 questions. We are not affiliated with CryTek and we are not longer using CryENGINE3.

I might be wrong but if we got a dev kit or something like that, couldn't we implement your code into ce3? Because I seem to remember you guys saying any C+ or maybe C++ engine could use it.

I remember them saying that if you need, they can give you the "middleware" for the physics in BeamNG.
I'm not sure if a dev kit or such is planned though.

Not exactly sure if this post answered your question, anyway found the post:

There is no engine being released. Beamng is on Torque3D, and it is staying on Torque3D
    Nice bump by the way
