Not compatible with pre race update or newer

Please do not re-post this to other sites without asking me first (i will probably reply with yes if you ask, i just want to know where it is and who to tell when an update comes out! ☺)

    HILLS
    VERSION 0.1

Hills is a map designed primarily for rally use, so it is super fun in rally cars and cars with 4 wheel derive. Since the terrain is quite challenging/steep and dangerous it is also a fun challenge to try and get the box van around or other less agile vehicles. There are also sections for rock crawling and true 4x4's to enjoy, you can find all the info you may need about routes on the handy annotated map below!

Deliberately broad disclaimer: If anything breaks (which it shouldn't) i am not liable in any way.

Nice map! I like the challenge and smoothness of the trails. If you expanded the map further, it would be in my top 3 favorite maps.

As of currently there are no rocks on this map, but they will be added in at some point. There are off roading areas and steep sections though. I will try to get some in soonish though.

New update released, only bother to update if you are short on file space or haven't already downloaded the map.
0.02b uses thingshappen's file size reduction program: http://www.beamng.com/threads/3768
Please post a reply if the file size reduction program has deleted any assets that are in use so i can manually add them back in. You will be able to tell if it has because you should get an orange no material error texture.

    Possible future update:

Its currently using LJFhutch's 3d grass texture. I get the feeling this grass or a modified version of it may be final though, since to be frank, its going to look a hell of a lot better than anything i could make :p
I am still fiddling with what amount of grass over what distance looks best while maintaining fps, this seems to be a decent compromise though.

Also if anyone has any thoughts about the map that they would like to share please post them :)
I feel a little lonely in this thread...

Just downloaded the latest version (0.1 beta) and I really like this map! Really fun to roam around on with the D-15 Offroad :)
However all the rocks looks like pumpkins (no material) :(

That is happening because the rock shape file he put on his terrain is trying to load a texture from a directory not included with his terrain. On his computer those rocks are probably textured correctly because the directory is there, but it's some other terrain.

Yeah, that's an interesting looking bug :p

Ill make sure that is fixed in the next update. Derp. For now just pretend they are totally intentional decorated Easter eggs that were added in as a feature for the holiday we have just had ;)

I think i have fixed the issue with small rocks. But i cant fugure out how to fix the issue with larger rocks. This map uses some of the DRI_rock_(insert letter here) rocks. I cannot find a materials.cs file for them anywhere, meaning i cant change thefile locations of the textures. Any help on the location of these files would be much appreciated :)
