Because inside of the guidelines is says "Remember to search before you post, it can be tiresome to answer the same question over and over." Honestly a lot of those people that ask the same question over and over most likely didn't read the posting guidelines.
How about we make a thread about this: How to Use the Search Bar Properly. Many people post things that have already been posted 20+ times and say they searched for similar posts but haven't found anything. This is because the BeamNG forums will automatically search the entire posts instead of just the titles to find key words. An example is multiplayer. If a new person was to think that multiplayer should be added, they would probably do a quick search and get this for the results Then they would probably make a thread and say something like, "Hey devs i got idea we need multiplayer in game so make now please : D" If they had gone into advanced search and searched titles only, this is what they would have gotten:
well there should be a service announcement of something like this : "Before you post threads about MULTIPLAYER / THIS AND THAT / ETC ETC click here"
I think there should be a page on the wiki that includes all forum rules and a code of conduct. Then put a link to the page at the top of the forums so everybody can see it and read it.
lmfao search bars everywhere, that should grab their attention...or just make the search bar GIGANTIC!!! like as big as this text field I'm typing into right now teeheehee
I think part of the problem is the game creators trying to be forum mods as well as trying to work on the game. If there were a few mods to review the topics regularly and sticky the relevant, frequently asked and repeated questions, and toss the trash, there would be less of said content.
I said "part of the problem". I guess I didn't realize there were actual mods here because I haven't seen any "moderation" yet.
