Hey there, I'm wondering what your guys's opinion is. I have Toca Race Driver 3, a pretty old game but still LOTS of fun. what if I were to convert one of the tracks over to BeamNG? Would that be considered illegal? It's pretty old. I would most likely NOT convert the cars, but the tracks? I'd love to do one that would match the NASCAR being made.

    Your thoughts?

Daytona in this game would be epic. There are several maps on the forums like Leguna Seca that have been taken from other games, but i'm not sure if they have permission or what.

Copyright regarding tracks would be the same as that for cars.

i believe his point is that its a really old game, so he doesn't know weather the copyright's would still be there, or if there invalid now

Considering that this is an old game I don't think you would have any trouble. Is the company that makes the game still in business?

Ok, I googled the game, and it's made by Codemasters which is still in business. I remember playing this game years ago, pretty good racing game as i recall, I think the crashes were better than most, and it had monster trucks. :)
