Crash site a planecrash site set in a small Desert with some mid to high sand dunes and a lot of nothingness. my 2nd map, i hope you´ll have some fun with it -Ghost Orig. Plane Model by JasonOwen Ps: in the "art" folder of the map i left "Markers", (discount flaglike things without collisions, i made) with you can set up your own "racetrack" or just mark some sweet spots, see last pic
It should have a cubemap named "BNG_Sky_02_cubemap" since most vehicles use that for reflections. I made a copy of the _03 cubemap material and renamed it to _02, that works. Map looks great, though I would have preferred larger map size, even if it was less detailed.
ah, now you have it on every other vehicle and on every other map until you switch it back... (and on worst case a desert horizon on non-desert maps) this is purely experimental, since its impossible to avoid setting the fitting ref.cubemap up manually for a map bevor playin. as long as there are no dynamic reflections for materials, they should redo the current system to load the ref.cubemap FROM THE MAP YOURE PLAYIN instead of a permanent one from a core folder.
No, it does load the cubemap from the level's folder if there is a "BNG_Sky_02_cubemap". But I agree, the system could be better. I don't think it's currently possible to change the reflection cubemap if there's more than one weather version of the map, without duplicating the whole map folder.
i tried that but couldnt get it to work its still in the map folder though... IF ANYONE CAN HELP ? FEEL FREE TO DO SO
The file needs to be an 8-bit Greyscale PNG, same dimensions as your map and must be named [yourmap].ter.depth.png
thanks, but i know... I made it in PS, Grayscale 8Bit but the console says "current depth map image format is RGsomewhat" it has the same Dimensions as the map, console says "depth image map must be 1024x1024 - the current depth image map is 1024x1024" ...so yeah. best would be if someone would take a look at it, to see what i did wrong... as said its in the map folder. edit: furthermore it tries to load the d.map from "Levels/menu/menu" ??? whats up with that ?
Quite a nice map, but it feels a bit small. This isn't helped by how convincing your skybox is. I've accidentally shot off the side a few times because I thought the skybox was more terrain, but that isn't a bad thing!
