    Hi this is my fist map and hope to finish it soon. This map will be based on the real life version of Akina Pass. Constructive criticism is welcome.

    Credits:

    BeamNG.Drive Developers for the default textures.
    burilkovdeni: Idea
    DoullPepper: Main road texture [ got this one to work!! ]
    LSDMT420: Other road textures [ got these ones to work!! ]
    Autofan: guardrails and gutters
    atv_123: support, finding useful reference material.
    Road markings: Carlosair

    More credits will come as I get Allowed to use those textures.

    Changelog:
    Road textures fixed [ hopefully, fix uploaded to end first post. ].
    More terrain features added.
    [[Added one gutter for testing at the first hairpin left side, this is right after you spawn. ]] .
    Grass spawn 500 feet below terrain issue not fixed because I have no idea how to fix it at all [ if anyone can fix it please help ].
    Added a TOD, when you enter the map it will be paused [ press F11 to go into editor then go into the TOD and check the play button ].
    Also added a helicopter landing pad, located below the four consecutive hairpins.
    Added side roads.

    Are you basing it off of google maps or how are you mapping out the road? I'm just curious is all.

    Self bumping, Adding slope to road. Yes I am going to base it of the Google Maps version.

    Looks good, but I get "no texture" on the road :(

    Go onto the map editor with F11 and select the road then, go the road top material and select it, then in the material menu [road and path section] go and select a two lane road to put on and that should solve it.

    On another note I have added a helicopter landing pad.

    A self bump. Does anyone have an exact map of the gutters on this road in real life ????

    I do not, but you may be able to find someone on youtube that has actually driven the road and be able to find the locations that way by watching the video.

    I did find 2 videos where they drove the whole pass but the quality was 360p or lower so details are really hard to see. ]:

    Here is one of them going up hill in 1080p... I mean you only get a good look at one side of the road, but hay... its a start... I'll keep looking to see if I can find anything better.

    or this one I suppose... again, running uphill, but has a better view of both sides of the road. Akina pass only starts about half way through the video cause he drives there first.

    Thank you for the videos atv_123.

    In the pics below I am putting in a gutter and testing it, finding out that this very much a faff, to deal with but I will stick with it.


    To 1UZ-FE :

    1] Grass 500 feet below terrain, [ I have no idea for a fix on that one :[ , so you are on your own. ]]

    2] Fixed [hopefully]!

    Well its looking really good so far! Now we just need to get a (good) AE86 into the game so we can all refine our mad drift skillz!

    That is true... but isn't that more along the lines of a 240SX more than a Trueno? Not that the 200BX is any kind of disappointment... it looks awesome!

    Having two main glitches. The grass is like 500 feet below the roads. also, when attempt your instructions for the fix of the road textures, there is no "two lane" names road, but a road called "asphalt" that is a two lane. however, when I replaced the top part with it, it was way off and only sports a concrete road that is blank.

    Finally got the road texture on the main road to work. Thanks very much for letting me borrow your road textures DoullPepper!!

    The reason the roads were black were that they were set to transparent by accident, or no texture was improperly set up materials files.

    So far this is coming out really nicely! I am liking it a lot! Keep up the good work!

    Also, the gutter around the first corner does seem to work quite nicely, so that's also a nice plus!

    The recent update broke the textures slightly so i fixed them.

    Also I am adding delineation [ more slope like the real one] to this road.

    I got a challenge for ya (or something that I would really love and get people to notice our valley a bit more) La Veta Pass.... or atleast I think that's what its called anyway But its super steep and has alot of turns look it up on google maps (it might not come out perfect to the real one because of the 3d sattelite ) Yes my.... oh well anyway im having trouble thinking today so im not writing right but its in Colorado down near Alamosa. Please if you'd make it that would make me really happy and alot of people happy

    Nice to see somebody who lives near me! I tried making a piece of 285 from Salida to Villagrove. Wasn't as easy as I thought though.

    I probably will make La Veta Pass in Colorado, after I finish Akina Pass that is.

    If you want to make my life easy drive up and down La Veta Pass with your own car and a 720p camera so I can get feel for the slope, and the bends, because there is only so much you can get from Google Maps.
