First custom rims! Ahh! 5ZIGEN FNO1RC Previously made for RoR. (imported from here) Need to figure out the materials. ATM It replaces the sport wheels as I need to figure how to make them separate too
I literally just imported the car into Max, swapped the wheels for ones I made, exported everything as a .dae file, and this happened: I'm obviously being a total noob with this; just wanted to see if it worked anyway. Oh well, off to the wiki. BeamNGmostlikelymymistake.png
I've looked into it and seems that something is wrong when importing the model, there are no hard edges :\
would like to ask a question. why some textures disappear? ie when the camera moves. as if they are flashing
It will probably end up creating edges where there werent any. I don't want to mess the original mode. Gabester told me to wait till they add additional .dae support.
Sounds like Z fighting, textures are trying to appear above each other because they're at the exact same height. You're probably going to have to shift the road up a bit.
If it's mesh on mesh you'll have to move the two apart a bit to avoid z-fighting, decals do this automatically. Also make sure your terrain center is at 0,0,0 The mid point of the terrain block is on one corner, so to put it in the center just enter coordinates that are half the size of your terrain (for a 1024m x 1024m map, set it at 512,512,0).
