http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZjhxuhTmGk At velocities we will no doubt see in this game it might make sense to emulate this kind of thing, and after we reach really ludicrous speeds begin turning cars into particles and removing chunks of the node/beam model. This isn't really tearing the car into pieces so much as I'm suggesting vaporizing vehicles if you think its a fun idea to smash jets into stuff at 500mph or modifying the ibishu covet to do the same.
This would be fantastic to have, though it probs would be a while before this could be modeled in BNG, if ever... still, fun stuff!
That is the one problem with Britain. Notice the fact that it has to be chained to the wall, to prevent people stealing half a trolley. Sometimes, even I wonder.
Yeah, I didnt get that either. But then I didn't get the dude walking around northampton with half a horse costume either.
Wait, what about the camera nodes? What would they attach to during this whole thing? (If it was implemented)
They could just stop midair, or when their connection is broken, it could go to a free camera until the next car is spawned.
Drowsy's jet plane will disintegrate at about 2000mph. The camera just kinda floats in the middle of the wreckage.
This has already been partially implemented in the sense that meshes can have regions deleted entirely, as seen in the Civetta Bolide's bumpers and the Gavril H-series box upfit. All we need now is a method for generating particles and/or small, indistinct debris (as in Next Car Game) when elements are 'eroded' in this manner. I suspect it wouldn't be much more complex than the existing system which spawns dynamic sparks and dust/debris particles on impacts, so I'd say there's a real possibility we'll see this one day.
Then buy it! It was the best $15 I think I ever spent. Not only do you get the awesome stuff that IS BeamNG, you also get access to all the excellent (and not-so-excellent, but most are quite good) community mods!
