    I'll go first!

    Is it bad if when I'm working on homework, I have a BeamNG window in the background that constantly refreshes to see if I have any notifications?? :p

    Yes that's bad, it distracts you from your work and it seems you are obsessed. Take a break from the forums.
    Don't mean to be an ass but you really should kick that habit.

    Then if you are doing good on your homework it's fine I guess. I just don't see why you would have to see every notification immediately.
