You seem to be using a somewhat outdated OS.

Could be a spec issue, what's your specs? You may also want to attach a crash log if there is one.

your specs seem ok, but you'll need windows 8 64 bit or higher for support. (recommended)

    windows 7 (minimum)

That seems a bit stupid considering the minimum specs specify you can run this game on windows 7 at 3 times less the performance i'm currently pumping out of this thing.

my bad, please contact the devs via https://support.beamng.com/ mean while, delete the BeamNG.drive folder in your documents, (that will get rid of all mods and custom files ect) then open steam, and right click on the beamng title, and click properties, then local files, then verify integrity of game cache.

after that, resart your pc, and open the game in administrator mode.

I've done all of that as i'm usually pretty thorough with troubleshooting most games i own, just short of contacting the actual devs. I'm going to try running it on an older DX to troubleshoot compatibility.

Bingo. opted into the earlier DX9 beta for the game and it worked perfectly. Though it did launch in 4k so maybe that had something to do with it? ill tinker around with some settings and see what happens but for now i think i've found my way. Thanks for the help and if i come across anything else ill make a new thread!

Dont use the MSI gaming app. Theres some problem with BeamNG. I own a GTX750ti Twin Frozr and if i close the gaming app it runs normally.

This looks like a tool that displays the FPS and so forth ingame. Please disable any MSI afterburner / game thingy.

Its the thing on the top left that breaks the game. And we cannot do anything about this, the process hooks into our game render loop and breaks random things :|

that doesn't look like windows 7 anything... 2 os versions before, is windows 200 professional, it looks more outdated than that... like Windows ME... it's an outdated Operating System, and it most likely can't run 50% of the files beamng requires... windows 7 Ultimate has a layout almost identical to vista... let me know if you see the resemblance between yours, and this...

Windows 7 has a feature to return to windows 98 design. the os he's using is windows 7.
Also, if you look at the taskbar, you can see that it is using "program stacking" to show programs, that feature is only in windows 7 and up
