Hey guys. in the game I'd love to see the ability to lower cars and add large camber, as i think this would add a lot of options to the game. Maybe in the Config menu>tuning>camber, you could just make the options a lot larger. maybe there is a mod for this already? Thanks for your time
Can't you already do that? And by larger camber could you please show a picture of how much camber youd like to have?
While you can already do that, i know what you mean. And yes. I do agree. Instead of having things like "camber wheels" we should have extended tuning.
Normal suspension does not have support for camber adjustment, this is because consumer cars, of which most of BeamNG's cars are do not need camber for everyday driving purposes. to adjust camber you need aftermarket or race suspension. considering beamNG is not a stance sim it is not a needed feature and for those that want it you will need to politely ask an experienced individual on how to do it or for them to teach you how to do it.
Except for the fact that there IS race suspension and you CAN adjust camber with it(to still some what sensible limits)
We have race springs, shocks, and sway bars, but not race suspension which would allow for more camber and toe adjustment. It would require some serious design work for some extra adjustment which serves no real purpose. You can already add quite a bit of negative camber if you want to stance your car, and there's no functional reason to adjust camber more than you already can.
I knew this and thought that i had implied it, the coil-overs in game (springs and shock in one assembly) allow you to adjust basically all of the values that would or could be changed in real life. However what i meant was that the adjustable coilovers in game have a limited range and dont allow you to fully simulate your fully sick (but literally disgusting) stance nation cars that have i dont know around 10-15 plus degrees of negative camber or whatever they run because race coilvers are designed for track use, not for scraping over speed humps and using half of a tyre at a time.
It isnt actually entirely the limited range of the coilovers that's the problem, even without any springs or shocks the suspension only goes so far before bottoming out, I assume camber is also limited by suspension geometry
Do what? To change camber normally you just put on race coilovers and antiroll bar then go to the tuning menu of the config menu.
