    Our automated performance testing script also saw the performance gain that we delivered in 0.5.4 :)

    Here's some benchmarks (repeated twice for consistency)

    31/01/17

    Laptop, not a gaming beast, equipped with a i7-4510U did, with the same builds:
    36Mbeams/s > 47Mbeams/s > 54Mbeams/s > 58Mbeams/s

    Results will obviously vary from PC to PC.
