I was so worried the Covet was being forgotten... I'm so glad it's getting an overhaul. Looks tip-top, especially the four spoke JDM wheels.

Considering the force of the impact into the '59 Special is like crashing into a pickup with a 2 in. lift kit for the Barstow, it's the crash forces lifting the Special into the air.

The same applies to when lighter vehicles crash into heavier vehicles, except with heavier forces acting on the lighter car and lighter forces on the heavier car. Take this IIHS 40 MPH test of a Smart ForTwo into a Mercedes C300 for example:

Carburation in a late 80s early 90 import hatch hmm.. Wouldnt an older style fuel injection make more sense. Kinda like the single port injection in a d15b2.

It wasn't abnormal to see a carburetor on a base model econobox in 1988. The higher trims will probably have fuel injection.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Civic_(fourth_generation)

The base 1.5l had either single or dual carb or fuel injected

What I actually posted was basically a carburetor setup. All base line motors early on had a single port style pgm-carb was actually an electronic carb setup. Very similar to fuel injection basically the adaption on the way to fuel injection.

That particular era is a bit of a toss-up on what fuel delivery system they used. My truck (Dodge Ram 50, AKA Mitsubishi Mighty-Max), from the release of the first gen all the way up to 1990 had no options other than a carburetor. Chevy loved them some throttle body injection, and used it with their small-blocks clear til 1996, when they went to the vortec. On the flip side of the coin there were fuel injected cars even in the 60's, and Mitsubishi Monteros offered only carbureted I4s and multi-point injection V6s from their inception in 1986 until the 2nd gens came out in 1990.

It might just be me, but that chrome bumper is WAY too big. The bottom part should be body-colored and wrap around the front, like on a '71 Challenger.

Doesn't detract from the rest of the car, that thing is gonna be my #1 car when it's released.
