I have been playing beamng drive since early 2013 and never had fps issues
    i recently got a alienware m15x from a pawnshop for 200$
not as good as my desktop pc
but can still run beamng around 50-60fps
Now this is the bug/weird fps drop im experiencing.
i launch beamng and it runs 50-60fps for 15mins then all of a sudden it drops to 15-10fps and it wont go back up
i restart the game and it is still limited to 10-15fps. the only way for it to go back up to 50-60fps is to wait 20mins close out steam and restart my computer and the the same loop happens
i dont know if its temperature related or not but my laptop did shut off once when i was playing American truck sim and i wasnt watching the temperature

Sounds like performance throttling due to temperature. Download a temp monitoring program and go from there. Laptops are horrible with temperature performance since they pack so much into such a tiny space

Thats what i was thinking it was and the other day i ordered some better thermal paste with a elevated fan tray thing that sits under it and lifts it up a little with some extra fans built in it. hopefully that works
i did download a temperature monitor just now and watch that to see what temperatures it starts throttling at
