You obviously have never been within sight of one. I know a guy who was looking at one when they came out to use as his work car, he was on a test drive with the salesman and they hadn't made it a mile down the road before he decided they could keep it, in fact, they couldn't pay him the value of the car to take it.
60 Horsepower, you can't merge with it, 70 MPH was about all it could do. The worst build quality you could imagine. The interior was made of practically made of cardboard. However for him, it was the complete lack of power, he tried to merge onto the highway and even all the way down in first, it couldn't keep up with 75 MPH traffic.
The poor build quality seems kinda expected due to what they are and an interior practically made out of cardboard is probably partly how they managed to sell them so cheap. 60 horsepower and a top speed of a bit over 70 is all you realistically need. the sheer basicness of it is what makes me like them.
It seems you'd need a bit more than that on the large American interstates (e.g you would going about 80 on the interstate to Salt Lake City).
