CPU; AMD a8 5500 (Gives a caution warning in
    GPU; MSI r9 270x 4 GB(Bottlenecked by CPU)
    RAM; 6 GB
I dont think any other specs need to be mentioned, but if you need them, I can post them.
Just currious what you guys would recommend. I have fiddled with the settings quite a bit but I cant seem to find the golden selection for my settings so I can run at a stable frame-rate.
I am not expecting 60 FPS at all, given I have a bad rig and a bad rig + beamNG = Cyanide Pill, thats not what I am trying to get to.

TLDR; What should I set my settings to so I can get a stable frame-rate that's at 30 FPS or higher?

It doesn't sound that bad off-hand. As I recall I was able to achieve fairly solid and stable framerates at 1080p with a much slower graphics card. IIRC it was in the 40-60fps range... maybe my memory is wrong. Or maybe CPU-Boss's numbers are not accurate about your CPU (?): http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-6600K-vs-AMD-A8-5500

What is your Cinebench score? http://www.beamng.com/threads/post-your-cinebench-r15-scores.17728

If you are truly bottle-necked by your CPU there is little that you can change in the way of settings without affecting gameplay.

You could probably do Normal settings at 720p, maybe.

I think I can go almost wild with graphics settings. Really the issue is down to the lag from looking at a ton of static objects... Which is gonna happen with anything less than a really good i5 or i7.
I plan on saving some cash and buying a rig just for RoR and BeamNG.Drive sometime this summer or earlier, depends on what happens.

I will try normal settings. And given that my monitor is some crappy flatscreen from like 07/08, I wouldnt expect anything HD from it.

On a light on vegetation and objects map, with all my graphics settings on high other than Dynamic reflections, I pull 58-60 FPS.
Now time to try another map.
