    Maybe he can tell us if the floors are shiny, or maybe they put out chips and salsa...the good kind. Maybe he can tell us about the jet. Not everything is in an NDA you know ;)

    Seriously though, this is awesome. The importance of Gamergull’s contributions have been recognized. This can only mean an even better and more polished AI for the base game. The sky is the limit (no pressure).

    I am really happy to hear, that they are working to make the traffic app official! That would guarantee us that the app will be developed at the same time as the game (as part of the game) and we will never have to miss it again! Thanks again for the app Gamergull. The game is now on a completely different level! Good luck on your future path in the BeamNG team! I'm sure we'll all have a lot of fun with your talent :)

    Nice! The colrbug, can also be solved if you change the color to unchanged I noticed. You really do great work! By the way, ever tried out the polish map and skins?

    After using this mod for quite a bit, I have some recommendations I would like to make. First, changing the skin of a police car makes it not chase you any more. I think making it detect if a light bar is on the car or not should determine if it is a police car or not, rather than having to have the default skins. Secondly, it would be really cool if each individual road had a set speed limit with the included speed limit option being an override. This may be hard to implement, but at the moment, it is hard to get the speed limit right, as you want it high enough for the freeway but low enough so that you get pulled over for whipping it on a windier road.

    I hope this helps with the development of the mod, and I would just like to say that I think this is my favorite mod made for this game so far. Amazing work.

    Oh and another thing that would be cool is if the AI police could pull over the AI.

    Sometimes I get error spawning lot of red text in console, userdata excepted go table instead is the error message. Has happened randomly, sometimes after using insert or r to fix the car, but I'm not sure what really triggers that.

    Maybe is related to situation where using parts manager to change parts of car, then hitting r or insert, but still haven't found certain way to make it happen, most of the times when happens I have had own car config changed with parts manager and using insert or r to own car.

    Anyway future versions probably will have better ways of doing things as some changes to game might happen in order to support traffic functionality better.

    I really like how this turned out to becoming part of core game, this is so huge game changer that it certainly needs to be part of the game and you certainly deserve all the glory with it.




    Most fun way to use this tool has been setting up to 10 AI cars, then set one to flee mode with AI manager, usually one with stig inside I set fleeing, then use police car yourself and high speed chases are really good at American road map, that I find to be best of all, you can keep running forever and roads are enough long to not feel running on circles constantly.

    Just don't set Pigeon to flee on Cliff roads map, that will result insane high speed chases at 20mph uphills, barrel rolling pigeon at downhills, it has some entertainment value though!

    Agreed, but it's tricky to make the mod clear the fleeing car is not traffic al, plus that it doesn't crash into traffic, given the awareness does not work for it.

    Yeah, that's true; any AI vehicle not activated by my app gets ignored by my script entirely. It's due to my code structure; the AI awareness logic isn't part of the ai.lua file (but it's possible; however, I'm not gonna mess around with that at the moment).

    I think that this is a good thing. It gives a bit more control so you can set up a chasing or fleeing car in traffic :)
    Congrats on getting this to the base game btw. Well deserved imo.

    When fleeing AI crashes, I then drive on and soon it is spawned onto traffic again, then it starts running away and I chase with sirens on. It is kinda real like, when AI gets too far and crashes to other cars as role of police is warn other road users that they can avoid the fast one.


    That makes it kinda whole game, where aim is to warn other road users (make them drive side of road) before speeder crashes to them, it requires to keep close to speeder, but I don't make speeder to stop, just tail him, to make it more interesting often I choose really low powered vehicle for myself.

    Yes, but it's tricky I notice make the app clear it's not part of the normal traffic. When I first tried, it got traffic activated, despite having set the Al to flee beforehand and traffic to normal.

    By the way, two questions if you don't mind:
    1. Could it be possible to chase and bust other drivers if you drive a cop car with the app in the future?
    2. What exactly makes the app trigger that the police loses you? I had a chase where they lost after I turned a corner just around 50 in front of the police, still visible.

    I set one of the spawned to flee, I can spawn it manually too, but works also when spawned automatically, then after you choose flee to that one car, then pause, go check your license plate, choose it get into your car, hit activate to traffic (yes, after you have set car to flee) now it works properly.

    Flee does not disappear, even traffic tool activates traffic spawning to fleeing car.

    I chased over 4 hours non stop one day, didn't need to setup anything after initial setup.

    Of course no one ever believes me, but here is a proof, fleeing car gets spawned and it turns around, but yeah you need to set flee before you hit activate, when you hit activate you don't need to set traffic mode in traffic app, that way mode is what is set before hand I believe:


    Well driving was horrible as I did try to show it quickly while playing on gamepad.

    This is probably a dumb question, but I'm too lazy to read through this thread and I can't find anything about it on the repo page: is multi-lane support for highways working yet? I'm updating my Giant Thread O' Racing Roads and have referred to multi-lane traffic as an upcoming feature of your mod; is it still upcoming or is it actually live now?

    (And yes, I have the mod downloaded, but I really don't feel like trying to see if my fan curve tweak is enough to handle it right now).
