Okay, now I want to see what that would look like.

The Lil' Pickle and Oh Bello skins would be perfect for something like that.

Question. With the new UI, would we get photos with config slots? It gets slightly annoying looking for a wheel when you don't know what it looks like, yet that might be personal.

Honestly the entire parts selector needs to be completely redone from scratch. Choosing wheels without images would be bad enough without the loading time issue. Most of us here on the forums probably have a good idea of the parts menu, but imagine how daugnting the current one must be for a new player. "Which suspenion allows me to lower ride height, what are the stats of this engine vs that engine, what functionality does this part add, etc..."

I hope the next UI will allow for some easier customization. I still prefer the old vehicle thumbnails, and a built in way to change the background pictures would be awesome. (Yes, I know most things can be modded in the meantime. Just saying it'll be nice to have official options)

Right. Glad I'm not alone. Most of the time, I just hope I find a wheel I like and get lucky, or I just do it some other month lmao.

I'm feeling like most would say to just use the garage, but it's a whole 'nother map, and that doesn't show pictures.

Also, either my pc is just too slow, or Live Updates doesn't work. And why can't I tune some parts? Is that a choice by the mod developer or are some parts unable to be tuned for realisim? Either those two or it's just difficult to code.

...Maybe because there isn't much to show with a new, electric vehicle? Also, didn't they show more stuff kinda recently? Either way, it's not like they're modelling a whole new vehicle, I'd think it's more or less tweaking now. Even if, I'd like more updates.

I would love to have more pictures of in-development stuff but with what happened with both the Hopper and the VolksFiat, I doubt the devs want to show anything that isn't coming in the next few weeks for SURE.

They did show electric SBR stuff and people were moaning about battery size etc. You remember what DB posted to that I guess.

Once again, I think that there needs to be more and better communication from the development team.

The electric Hirochi turned into such a huge firestorm because it was just a picture without context - people didn't know what they were looking at, so they argued and got angry with each other. Granted, one of the forum's most neckbearded users got inordinately mad when they made an assumption that the dev team had forgotten to include batteries, but the majority of the community was intelligent enough to assume the batteries weren't being shown in that particular picture. The trouble was that Diamondback had the bad luck to happen upon the rant before that happened. The rest of us were willing to wait patiently for more information, but a better caption on that photo would have saved everybody a lot of time and headache.

The next time the dev team reveals a new vehicle, I hope there's at least a paragraph of info on it right in the first post, and they set aside time to respond to whichever big speculations happen within the first twelve hours or so. Better to stop erroneous bandwagons before they become fighting forum factions.

    This.

If the developers were more open with the community as to what they are doing, I believe the community would respect them far more and there would be far less confusion.

The community tends to descend into anarchy whenever a new car is teased. The only recent teaser I can remember not starting a flamewar was the Wentward, but only because no-one expected it and we didn't get to see more than tiny sections of it until it just about released. That and low floor buses tend to be so boring and generic that no-one could complain about the design. Of course, the electric Hirochi will probably get more batteries, and won't be expected to have much range anyway since it'll probably be a technology demonstrator/limited production prototype/whatever (Hirochi wouldn't make a flagship electric supercar in a largely unsuited and old ICE chassis), the Bluebuck's styling isn't that outdated for '68, a fullsize coupe wouldn't be that unusual in the '80s, etc.

Agreed. What was the point of it if it was only going to cover just one item?

Because it's made for people who don't follow the forums, the development sneak peak is posted on steam and BeamNG's social media accounts.

The purpose is just to show people Italy's progress, not to show everything that has been worked on. For example, the electric SBR will be a pleasant suprise for people who don't follow the forums (the majority of players)

Sneak peaks of other WIP content is just a bonus for us, so be grateful we get it in the fist place. The devs aren't obligated to show us anything.

That's the weird thing though - they didn't bother to round up the info off of the forums.

I've personally decided that's excusable because there was a hotfix released that same day - they had more important things to worry about. Probably not the best practice to have those fall on the same day, but at least it was tried.
