    Don't get too excited yet.

    I'll need to see a quote from the dev team before I believe that.

    There was a V10 engine sound file included around 0.10.0 or thereabouts, but it was confirmed to not be planned for any use in current vehicles. Somehow, the rumor mutated to V12 engines for the K-series, but I have no knowledge of any official mentions of a V12 for any vehicle, let alone confirmation.

    Lettering is not necessarily a relevant hint at things to come, though. Like, we had lettering in the files for what would probably be a sedan version of the 800 Series since its inclusion in game. Similarly, there's unused lettering for 2.0 variants in the i Series textures...

    They've probably been included in the game files to grant headroom for (eventual) future implementations, but that doesn't imply said content is being actively worked on.

    I honestly don't think a V12 in the current ETK lineup would make much sense either. A V8, maybe... But a V12?

    What if something different is being developed - like, an higher-end ETK model - and the current ETKs are just being used as a temporary testbed?

    Well, usually the exhaust headers are put into the engine model, not separately. I'm pretty sure the V12 exhaust is just a twin exhaust pipe, for any V angle engine, without headers. It just got named "v12" because it was probably made before the devs had decided what to do with the K-series. And I agree with the V12 not fitting. V12s are large and heavy, and usually reserved for luxury cars only because they run very smooth. A V8 or V10 could make almost as much power, and probably be able to fit turbos too due to not taking up the entire engine compartment, and wouldn't make the K-series handle like a boat because of the huge engine hanging over the front axle.

    although, the real life R231 Mercedes SL does have a 6 litre V12 available (albeit along with biturbo V8s), and it is in a similar size class and general demographic to the K series, so that doesn't necessarily completely deny the possibility.

    A V12 doesnt necessarily make more power then a v8 or even a i3. That largely depends on bore, stroke, A/F-r, camprofile, compression, forced induction, ignitiontiming, ducts and pipes ...
    But it the i6 the k-series has (i think it has one) is already a premium engine on its own. I6s are along with v12 the smoothest engines possible (reciprocating engines that is) because all forces inside the engine cancel each other out.

    Bit what i would like to see, is a inhouse tuner for etk, akin to M-division (Bmw), AMG (Merc) or Audi S (Duh!). This tuner xould then make upgraded base etk's and produce its own super-hypercars:)

    Even one of the factory colors is pretty close:
    upload_2019-4-1_8-7-15.png upload_2019-4-1_8-7-26.png

    It is of course not 1:1, but I think this car has got lot of inspiration from M4, see all those details that match, but are slightly changed.

    It does not come with V12 though, N55 is 6 cylinder engine, but of course devs are free to change that :D

    Had no interested to compare N55 engine and ingame engine power, but I would guess they are not that far apart either.

    Merc, that I don't see much there, but it is not so rare to take engine bits from other brand of course.

    K-Series is actually closer to the CLK in size. Or the 3-Series Coupè of the time (now 4-Series)... A sportscar based on a D-segment offering.

    V8s in this segment are pretty rare already. I can't think of any V12-powered 3-Series models that weren't tuner specials.

    It is interesting though how M4 has some details better fitting to K-series than 3-series, for example rear bumper seam that goes to rear wheel arch, it is closer to 4-series, same for reflectors etc.

    They could of course launch Brabus kind of tuner company to make extreme performance variants of vehicles and re-badge those. Not sure if ugliness of Brabus vehicles needs to be brought to game though.

    What i’m wondering is why it’s so hard to make new parts like bumpers for it. They always seem to delete the stock ones even with different jbeam, file, slot names and stuff. How is it so different that this happens?

    1 minute bumper addon, no such issues could be found:
    upload_2019-4-1_11-38-9.png upload_2019-4-1_11-38-35.png

    Try to make it so that you make yournewpart folder inside etkc folder (vehicles/etkc/yourNewPart), where you put your new stuff, be very pedant with naming and make sure you use unique names. Some stuff below that should help anyone to make new parts for this car:

    }
    "slotType" : "etkc_bumper_F",
    "slots": [
    ["type", "default", "description"]
    ["etkc_licenseplate_F","", "Front License Plate"],
    ],
    "flexbodies": [
    ["mesh", "[group]:", "nonFlexMaterials"],

    S55, not N55.

    A V12 is a possibility. CaptainZoll hit the nail on the head with the SL comparison. We don’t have a TTSport model of the K yet, so it is absolutely possible that the V12 gets implemented, possibly as an upmarket TTSport Evolution model. The standard model would likely have a V8.

    And before anybody jumps on me about the 800’s i6 TTSport, think of how the V12 isn’t offered in the E class or M5. We may see the V8 in the 800, if we see it at all.

    I don't get the comparison...

    - 800-Series is closer to a BMW 3-Series Touring in size. Range is constituted of 4 and 6 cylinders engines, much like the BMW and its rivals.
    - The K-Series is based on the 800-Series underpinnings, so that would make it more like a 3/4-Series equivalent. In this segment, I don't remember any manufacturer ever offering a V12...
    - You say a V12 isn't offered even in models one segment above, so how would it make any sense in the K-Series...?

    The E90 M3 had a V8.

    It’s realistically implausible that a V12 D-segment coupe would exist, but we don’t even know of it is D-Segment or is even based on 800 parts.

    Please give me some proof of your claims and I’ll consider the topic further.
