It was a bit of a fight but I finally got it to work how I wanted it with thanks to @meywue I say nothing more
That certainly gives possibilities! Someone mentions here about sandstorm effect via perception, sadly no more details were given, but if you have not experimented with such, maybe you can find new ways to use that. https://forums.torque3d.org/viewtopic.php?t=905 I guess one needs to create new datablock which consists desired texture to be used and lots of experimenting with values.
lol the fog has been long done. I was moreso talking about having discoverable vehicles scattered around the map that the player can find. --- Some mountaintop scenery Prickly Pears just kinda spawn around the map in little packs. The flowers spawn in specific, somewhat out-of-the-way areas that you have to discover.
Oh I did noticed that too, but certainly your beautiful fog did catch my eye too and that reminded me about when I read of how some has used rain to get sandstorm which I though might be interesting area to explore Custom flowers and all, that is too much, users will be spoiled! But seriously that looks really nice, there is lot of photo spots I see
Well sorry everyone, I've gotten carpal tunnel, which leaves my wworking hand damn near useless. I'll update in a week or two when it gets better... hopefully. --- Post updated --- Logos, last thing I'll post before I go on break. You're free to use with credit.
dunewulff i barely post on forums or contribute to beamng forums but i am here because you make one of the best maps and skins, motorstorm being one of my favourite games i cannot thank you enough! --- Post updated --- ever since i played motorstorm pacific rift there was this background cutscene where they jump off cars and then try to hit a target i think it would fit here!
Hello everyone, Unfortunately I'm afraid that this map, at least for me, is ending. I'm not in very great shape and have had a lot of serious medical problems popping up recently. So, I'm handing this project over to my co-worker @Fuvos . Don't be too mean to him, he's not really a world designer but he's good at what he can do. I told him to practice with a throwaway version of the map for a little while before modifying the actual map. I'll see you all around. Adios.
Hello everyone! My name is Fuvos. I'm Dunewulff's co-worker in real life. I'm a graphic designer and typographer by trade so I don't know much of anything about the world editor, but I'm learning! I hope to show you all some progress in a few days! He's not dying He's taken a month or two off the internet (and work, which I'm also taking over...) due to some illnesses. I'm not going to go into detail about what it all is but don't worry he's not dying.
Hello everyone! I plan on having some progress pictures later tonight. I'd appreciate feedback as well!
Okay everyone. I'm really nervous to share this with you all. I've been primarily working on the hidden lake area behind the airport runway. Dunewulff started the lake but it seemed like he left it alone for a while so I decided to clean it all up and finish the area up a little bit more. Just a simple course Hopefully it looks okay. I'm open to any response and constructive criticism. I'm trying to mimic Dunewulff's style while also adding my own flair as well.
That looks awesome. Not like I can say much, but you're a natural. Or just got a ton of teaching. I would say mess with the water, but that's just me. I seriously can't say anything else, looks awesome. I really hope your new section will look awesome.
Well I did spend about a week just learning how everything works. There's also a lot of little things that Dunewulff does that I picked up on, such as layering road textures and having ground texture actually being a mix of textures rather than just a single one. I still have a lot to learn though. He has a lot of hidden things around the map but they seem to use scripts and I only know some Javascript (which I don't think the ones in the map are) from webpage design... Thank you so much though!
Hello fufsgen, do you have any more info on how to accomplish this? I think I could implement this if I knew how to!
Was having some fun with mods I downloaded. Made the valley have an old fort that once controlled passage through the valley. You can jump over it via the stone walls, or you can run through the sand under the bridge.
Yes! The map still lives! Fuvos, you're a natural at building stuff on maps. You could be a proffesional map maker someday. (Btw, are you new to Beammg?)
I'm just going to leave this comment here so I'm notified of your progress. This looks incredible so far, keep up the good work!
