Dumb Question: Are there any BIG skyscrapers? Like U.S. Bank Tower big? Or Empire State Building big?

There's 50-floor tall ones, is that big enough? There may or may not be taller ones. Some are almost a block long.

The Patreon link is live folks, as of just now. Check your emails.
Ouch I hurt. I did too much yesterday.

And the update is out in the wild (for folks on the map Patreon anyways) as stated above, and not a moment too soon!

I included a radar screen of possibly one of the largest thunderstorms I have seen in recent days (outside of a Hurrican/Typhoon), and I do pay attention to that sort of thing. That storm is about about the size of Louisiana. This is the point, at when you hear it coming, you don't just shut off the electronics, you pull the plugs from the wall.
I have a secure crawl space with 12 inch thick concrete walls and 2' trusses holding up the floor above it (capable of holding vehicle weight), along with about 1.5" comprised of oak plywood and 3/4th inch Advantec sub-floor so, if there's a need, I have secure shelter here. We had a storm back in 2016 around memorial day (or whatever the holiday is at the end of May), and you could hear the tornadoes rumbling in the distance, it was really mind-numbing, the hair was standing on the back of my neck and I don't get like that - period.

Good thing I have extra plywood if a tornado hits. Though I don't think I will find it if there's that much destruction, it could end up 2 miles away.

Good job on the recent release. I was thinking that A Stadium would be a fine addition to the map. Maybe have a small oval or figure eight track on the inside.

Got that last night (I live in Oklahoma), very intense, including pea to quarter size hail.

Yes, I will keep a sports stadium in mind. I won't go overboard on seat or bench detail but the part you can drive on will be nice. I will make sure it's big enough that it can be used for a monster truck or mud race arena. I will add this to the list to to-do's.
Well, there may be taller, but not by too terribly much. I will make no promises though as who knows what gets designed until it's in.
Sheesh, well thanks for the warning, now that the sun's off it, it seems to be piddling out a bit. It will be nasty still for a while. Good thing I have my 'newer Pessima' (03 Corolla) in the garage, I wouldn't want to injure my grocery-getter. I have to get blood-work done tomorrow, so it's got to get me there.

Enjoy the release folks! I did NOT tier-restrict the Patreon release this time, as a show of appreciation. The AI update / Traffic Tool update for Nevada Interstate will be restricted to the 10$ and above tier, though it'll be on the forum a week or two after it hits for Patrons (though I list it as one release, it could be one or two, depending on how it works on Beta testing, if I made any boo-boo's etc).

I wouldn't worry too hard about cache-clearing, unless you have obvious plain-as-day errors somewhere as I haven't done a lot with the textures or models that existed in the last beta (it only matters when models get changed a lot).
    --- Post updated ---
    Not fun!
Get the deck furniture battened down, and try not to leave the pooch out or he/she/it won't be too pleased, not too much else one can do besides unplug the computer.

I will be around to respond to comments for possibly up to an hour or so from now until the storm comes booming.

We do have deck furniture here, unless this deck decides to fall off the house & go crashing into the yard like the last one did. If it does I won't have to buy any yard furniture though, because deck furniture automatically transforms into yard furniture when your deck collapses into the yard (teasing, it won't really collapse, but it SURE needs some sprucing up which I will be getting to this summer).
Speaking of homes, decks and the things about maintaining them... Yes I am the unlucky maintenance guy here. I get to witness and repair most all the things that go on when the house is no-longer new.
I cannot tell you how many screws I have had to add to my deck surface, year after year, without fail. Every spring there's about 6 more boards popping up and by fall I feel like I've used a half-box of screws (the 5$ box not the 3$ box). Never use that new size of lumber they make for deck surfaces, stick with 2x4's or 2x6's, these ones on my deck are around an inch thick and 6 inches wide... they warp... they bend... the crack in half long-ways down the middle...they pop up even when the end is held by TWO screws because the boards are thin and split at the end & screw heads go right through the wood. Sheesh... I want to fix it but that's waiting until *AFTER* I update the 4.5 year-old PC this fall (as my computer will be 5 years old at which point)... so that might be next year I get to the deck. So hopefully I don't have too much yard furniture by then.

Needless to say the storm mostly petered out by the time it got here and is nothing but rainy mess disaster. Zues got tired - Hooray. I live another day.

Work on Nevada Interstate will pick up next week just after the weekend. I will work on that for a few days (less than a week) and get right back on this with no time lost.

Okay, so over the next few days (starting Sunday or Monday or possibly sooner) I will be working on an AI update for Nevada Interstate, so that traffic tool works better with it, as the map is 'functionally complete' and is pretty much done, aside of looking far from perfect compared to 'Los Injurus'. This I had mentioned previously... but the real reason for this post is:

What do you want to see next??? What's most important? What does this map need, that it doesn't already have?
Feel free to mention anything (well anything that doesn't break the forum rules or get you banned, that is).

There's already many, many things on the list such as:

Sports Stadium (large enough for monster-truck use)
    Metropolitan airport
Different subway stations and more subway, and a few above-ground rail stations.
Lots more city - this is a given, as there's only a few dozen blocks of it built.
    Bridge variations
LOTS AND LOTS of buildings, including homes submitted (I haven't forgotten about those, folks, I just haven't done single-family homes in a while, which are actually the most intense lots to render).
Also, integrate some very-kind-user submissions that I haven't quite gotten to yet, and fix up a few existing models that don't look good.
Enhanced resolution and improved reflections on textures, no more 1080p MUD, this isn't a game-console after-all.
Race and dirt tracks (we have one dirt track, it's sure good for hurting pianos as it stands)
    Finish the military base, stupid!
NEON signs because every city needs those, especially if it's in a video game
partially with the above one, make night driving look better, and fix some of the avenue models that look like rubbish because of bad UV bending near the edges.
Also, with the above line, make some rural avenue variations.
Continue to improve the AI on the pre-existing highway as it gets / if it gets upgrading (depends on location).
Put lights in the city tunnels, because it needs them and they're supposed to be there, not just black emptiness.
More random undergrowth so the city doesn't look so clean, and variation / wear textures for the same purpose.
Make a cheap seawall kit (with and without railings) that will work good in industrial areas, not just a block of concrete like in JRI (or was it Industrial?), either.
Find/Purchase cheap car models to be placed in the map that won't drive up rendering budget terribly. CG trader has a few cheapies - these will be low poly / no interior, static / non-interactive, but will fully collide.

Big one: MAKE MISSIONS (I will need help on this, let me know if you're good at it and some of your already-made mission mods). LOTS * OF * MISSIONS. Haven't been in a big hurry yet as the map's not entirely done yet, as should be obvious.
I will provide remixes of arcade racing game music of mostly-90's arcade race games done here on my custom 'Sega Genesis / Megadrive synthesizer' I made over the last 13+ years, this music can play during missions (but you can remove it if you don't like it, it's royalty free though).
*more to come, this list is far from all-inclusive.

Also, can someone start spamming YBR or someone else who does BeamNG drive videos with A LOT of followers/views and tell them to get into contact with me on here, I'd like them to take a look at Los Injurus. It'll help advertise this project and it'll help Los Injurus be better for everyone. I'm not going to put this one down until it's DONE and it's everything everyone could have hoped for in BeamNG, with good performance, too.

    Because...

Because BeamNG.Drive is such an awesome game. It's the game I've truly wanted to make maps for since I was playing TOP GEAR / TOP RACER and the-like on the SNES when I was about 10 or so, in 1992. Yes, 1992. Two years later I got a computer with a Doom editor and bought myself a registered copy of Doom 1 and 2 to use with it. What you folks are seeing is truly something that I was never able to realize in any game engine to date - and I want to make it awesome. So let's get the word out if possible - so if you have a favorite youtuber, do pest them / spread the word about LOS INJURUS.
*I only mentioned YBR above, because his CANYON OF SPEED review got me into this game. I don't have a Youtube or even a google account or I'd do it myself.

Anyone on youtube is fine provided they're an adult and keep the review decent enough that I can post it on here, and they do a lot of BeamNG related content.

Ehh, I feel like Neil's videos are targeted at younger children (not that there's anything wrong with that). I just find it frustrating that he puts no effort into researching anything before he 'reviews' it. He spreads so much misinformation that could easily prevented with a simple google search. Same goes with SpeirsTheAmazingHD.

YBR would be much better for a review as he is entertaining, but also does things properly. Obviously we need to get his attention first.

Nevada Interstate Patreon-beta hits tomorrow. Be there (or wherever you are at), able to get your email, or visit the Patreon page for Los Injurus here (1st post or my signature has links), to get the update. Nevada goes out to all 10$ Tier members, it'll hit BeamNG servers next week (before or after the weekend, but not during the weekend), so if you're in the 1~9$ range, don't fret. So entirely, do know the traffic works on the highways nice now, it'll need some bug checking of-course. There's a small bit of orange on the one tunnel leading out of the spawn but it's not an issue as far as I saw it, it's the only place you see it at all, so I wasn't really going to toy with it. The hotel is gone. It caused an issue so I removed it entirely, even though a hotfix fixed it, I didn't want it to break the map again. I will put it back later this year in a future update. Nothing otherwise new map-wise. Updated the title graphic and description with new text but otherwise it's just all the same just with much-better-working AI.

--Will be back on this map tomorrow with the usual updates! There's so much I want to build. I feel like a chicken without an "egg-maker" when I'm not working on this map.

For those generous folks, in the 10$-and-up tier, you all qualify for the Nevada Interstate beta-test.
The Nevada Interstate beta invite went out via Patreon a few minutes (thirty minutes?) ago, so check your email or visit this map's Patreon page for your copy.
You won't have to clear cache, just make sure you don't have an older copy in your mods folder.

Again, Los Injurus updates should start again late Tuesday / wee-hours of Wednesday.

Still looking for an adult or two to review the Los Injurus City Map beta.

Maybe I can bribe Roman from Regular Car Reviews to do it, as he does know of this game. I used to live <30 minutes from him in PA, USA. Gosh I love his channel, he's hysterical - I wish I knew of him before I moved way down here to Tennessee.

Ah well, I am sure someone will get to it one day! Still looking into a JUNE 2019 public PREVIEW of this map on the BeamNG servers here, however, I am not going to shun patrons - there will still be 3x~5x the (at-least monthly) updates on Patreon land VS the quarterly or semi-annual (twice a year minimum) updates for public consumption. Maybe then that'll help the review situation, but that wouldn't be why I am doing it. I've surely got *LOTS* of texture-work and an airport or two to build before that, never-mind the big-box stores we all know, and lots of inner-city row-homes and the such. That's all coming up in the near-future of Los Injurus - so do stay tuned!

That's enough Fahl-Dee-Rahl from me for one night, I'll be here tomorrow with more progress.
    --Cheers!

So I have started modelling a rather modern-looking police department. This is merely as far as I am on it - not too far but I'm working on it...
Click to expand the picture - it doesn't have much texture yet though. More later depending on how far I get.
