Update Speculation thread

We had a Good Friday update 2 years ago which came at around 9pm GMT so there's still time. However, if I was a bookmaker I'd be offering the following odds, so don't get your hopes up too much!

20-1 Today
20-1 Tomorrow
2-1 Tuesday
5-1 Wednesday
7-1 Thursday
5-1 Next Friday
10-1 More than a week

The Hopper was released 2 years ago on Good Friday. I think there is still a good chance the update will be today.

 

I don't think it will be today because 0.15 feedback thread is still up and tdev hasn't posted The Final Countdown yet. I would say it will either be Tuesday or next Friday.

 

What time of day was 0.9 released? 0.9 was the most recent update released on Good Friday.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if tdev is doing stuff with his family or other holiday things, and then runs to the office after and pushes the update out. It appears to be done, based on the fact that there was a screenshot from the 0.16 release branch.

Hype train lasting until Tuesday?..

Thomatoes50 (Calling him by his actual user name because I feel like making a serious comment for once in my life) has rated "agree" to all of my recent comments suggesting the update will probably be Tuesday rather than today, and not this one or the one where I said a Friday update is possible but unlikely.

They posted that like once, it doesn't mean they're posting it every time there's gonna be an update now.

 

I still have my fingers crossed for a release later tonight with no announcement or tease.

 

I remember the update with the I-Series coming out after 9PM EST. And it's only 5.

I remember hearing somewhere that they were working on one a while back, but I don't think that it would be released in this update.

 

tdev has done it for every update that I can remember, its kind of tradition.

 

The first time I saw it posted was 0.13. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's a relatively new thing.

 

I can't remember, but I know that it has been done continuously since then at least.

 

It is a consistant but relatively recent addition
