the Albatross is in the Limbo state. most of us assume it's not coming but people keep bringing it back up. personally, I'd LOVE to see it, maybe as an 80s land yacht similar in style to the Crown Vic and Regal of the era.
I saw the sketch of the Albatross and it looks kinda like a mix of the Bluebuck and the Moonhawk which is pretty cool.
I think it's a 2-door variant of the Bluebuck (therefore a full-size coupe) with different sheet metal, like an Oldsmobile 88/98, or a flagship luxury coupe like the Riviera.
We need a french car.. and a second german brand either making highend sports cars (Porsche) or affordable "normal" cars (VW)... Also do u think we might get huge performance improvements and pbr since dx10 is no longer supported? (Im the coming update).. I feel like we get to much american cars that are just to similar.. (at least an american american sports car wud be nize..corvette) european cars are better anyway and i just rarely see myself driving one if the the plethera of american ccars we already have...
I think we will certainly get performance improvements. I doubt they will be 'huge', but it will still be noticeable. As for PBR, I doubt it. AFAIK it's not in the developers short term plans for the game.
We still don't even have a proper 60's muscle car... and yet you still want them to stop making American cars, because European cars are better by some arbitrary measure. If the devs listened to you, there would be way too many European cars and not enough American cars. European cars are underpowered unless you pay entirely too much money, and they are often too small for what you pay. Maybe you like that. I don't. Let's see... excluding trucks, the American cars currently in BeamNG are the Burnside Special, the Gavril Barstow, the Bruckell Moonhawk, the Bruckell LeGran, and the Gavril Grand Marshal. Here are the Europeans: the Autobello Piccolina, the Civetta Bolide, the ETK 800-series, the ETK I-series, and the ETK K-series. Five to five. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
I think BeamNG should introduce a stylish sports car. Like for ex: Mazda Furai concept, Lamborghini Aventador or Ferrari.
Perhaps you missed something - it was the Bruckell Albatross, and the context it was revealed in (could it be considered to have been revealed?) makes it clear that it was firmly within the seventies, not the early sixties like the Bluebuck. This was the 10-second sketch that Gabester drew for it so long ago - there is some very limited evidence to suggest that it made it into the hollow bodyshell modeling stage. I guess it just goes to show that we're always anxious for new vehicles that we've gone and dug out the concept list again - at least it's something fun to think about while we're practicing our patience. Anyway, map overhauls, the completion of Italy, the game's first electric car, a possible facelift for the ICE SBR4, and new parts for the T-series. That's about it for really visible content IIRC, and of course there will be the usual round of bugfixes and performance improvements, maybe to the UI. Who knows, maybe this will be the update when the mirrors on the Grand Marshal and Covet finally get fixed. I'm really looking forward to the new parts for the T-series.
I would also like a Japanese Sport Car, except I would prefer a classic one Something loosely based off a Toyota 2000GT perhaps Obviously everyone's preferences differ, so the devs would never be able to please everyone...
Why are we even arguing about this? BeamNG needs to take a firm stand against climate change. All cars featuring internal combustion engines must be permanently removed NOW. From now on, BeamNG must feature only politically correct vehicles such as these: this epic troll post was made by eSBR gang
American cars are just bad... Shit handling, power.. but out of ovrrsized v8s with ohvs in the 80s..., To big, to heavy, ugly.... die --- Post updated --- Die i wrote unintentionally
American land yahts aren't meant to be fast around corners, they are meant to be big and comfortable cars to take on low trips at low speeds since U.S. speed limits are really low. They are beautiful and the slow turning V8 rumble combined with chrome and bench seat only makes them more awesome. And that comes from someone who has a 2.0L N/A hot hatch/coupe thingy renault made in 1996 People just tend to expect the wrong things from American cars. The same way you hate on american cars cause they wobble around a corner instead of gripping the road like a hot hatch, I can complain the EU cars often didn't come with cruise controll or AC (in pre 2000s cars) or that EU cars are awfully small and sound like tuned lawn mowers and they don't have cup holders. You can also say that tractors are awfull cause they are slower around a track than a normal car, or that Lamborghini is bad cause it can't tow your gooseneck camper.
I honestly think we need a modern suv (like bmw x5 or x7 or audi q7). It can use a modern air suspension and maybe something like dynamic drive active anti rollbars, to stabilise the vehicle in corners. And it can introduse even parking sensors, but that's unlikely. That's just my opinion, of course not everyone wants a etk suv.
Even though I dislike modern cars I certainly agree that it would be a great way of demonstrating BeamNG's capabilities. It would be cool to have different modes for different terrain types (e.g. sand, mud, rocks) and see how the vehicle reacts to each
