Hello there! You know me already. My previous username was "azkavabK"....now I am arnok19. As I created the previous three scenarios which were WCCS, Drive The Pigeon and aKRCSP. Now, I am trying to create my own map. Atlanto is an fictional island located in the North Atlantic Ocean. The hills are generated using height maps and all the roads, object placements and forest editing are done by myself. As of now, the work on the map is still under progress and lots and lots and lots of work is still remaining. Some images I posted below for you to refer: This is the first town Atlanto. I wanted to make it look like it was abandoned, but scrapped the idea and created it like there are only few people living here and the town is just gradually been claimed by nature and garbage in the surroundings. Not a town, only few people live here. This place is Serenity Woods. Located across the bridge hidden in the vegetation. For now, only this two pics are there. I need to add decals, more roads, towns, ambient sounds and many more.. So stay tuned.
Way to Atlanto. Working on the offroad sections currently. I have been facing some problems with decals, but thanks to @Gamergull that issue is gone now. Graffiti on the walls and warehouse Damaged road
Just wanted to share these screenshots. Using the @Car_Killer Color Correction Pack, the color scheme i picked makes Atlanto look so good. Atlanto town, the way the color scheme makes it glow reminds me of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. Serenity Woods I am working on second town too. I am guessing a name for it, but I think I should first complete the town and then get on the name part! Also, the off-road section which I shared yesterday (a pic with Pessima) has been received a change. This off-road section nobody uses a lot so it's in other words abandoned and there were landslides in this part which distorted the road a bit with stones and dead trees.
Finally, after hours of work. My second town "Tuscon Heights" is almost ready; just need to give some remaining details and then I'll go for the next third and final town. Special thanks to @Occam's Razer for giving me permission to use his Garfield Heights buildings. This town is surrounded by the lush vegetation and if you're thinking to stay with your loved one till the end of the life. Then, Tuscon Heights is the right choice. (Screenshot taken in 'Lowest' quality preset)
A little update regarding my map. As you can see the overview of the Atlanto map, almost 58% work is done. Still, more work pending like forest, object placements, decals and AI navpaths. I didn't had access to my laptop recent one week because of which I was unable to work on my map. Work has started on third town which is named, "Harleem".
Map isn't looking that bad, but I think you should resize or find a different texture for the dirt roads. With the stretched guages, I'm not sure if it looks that good. I can send you the files I'm using for my map "Douglas Rally" if you want. It's slightly darkened from the dirt roads on Automation Test Track. (The jist of what it looks like, it still fits the color or your grass it seems)
The overview is looking great. Looks like some drifting action will be possible on the northeast roads.
Some random thoughts I am posting here I'm very annoyed that I couldn't get my hands on the laptop and finish the work on Atlanto map. This is my debut in map making and simultaneously I started creating heightmaps for my next map which will obviously will not be released sooner. I made heightmaps 5 times until I got a proper one and I was satisfied with it. With the support of you'll I will be able to finish my Atlanto and start the work of my next map.
@zestyfolfdude Thank you so much. I just need help with the AI part. I mean cars driving in respective lanes and avoid crashing into objects.
Once again, It's time to shed some light upon the progress of Atlanto. The Atlanto map project started on April...I don't know exactly when but since then the map has developed a lot. I started to make roads, towns and so on. Some few screenshots which I would like you to take a look upon..
