    @krallopian DUDE!!!! that's a really extraordinary work.The devs must really hire you so that you can create more stunning maps like this. I am now so excited to try this map; but don't know if my poor laptop will be able to handle it or not.. hehe! Anyways, I am also working on my own map and actually it's my first one and therefore I am trying to understand the world editor too. But, when compared to THIS, my map feels literally small XDD. Waiting for Castle Run's release officially.

    Thank you guys! I spent the majority of yesterday improving the castle textures/efficiency. So many silly issues arised from being distracted, ended up wasting 8+ hours because of it. Derpy derp derp. My original plan was to have the cars drive up and into the castle ruins, but... buuut.. that might still change.

    I need to focus on the SPEED RUN portion of the map again though, and unfortunately spent my entire night dreaming about doing the work instead of ACTUALLY doing it, so I'm wiped out and haven't even started yet!? =D

    All the basic shapes have been blocked out for the castle - tricky stuff because it seems most people who visit the castle don't UPLOAD their photos, they just keep'm =D I've got a buddy who lives a 7 minute walk from the castle, but he's too busy to get up there and grab me the photos I wanted haha.

    Anyway... here's how she sits now.

    Yup you nailed it! I mentioned it on the other page that I had finally decided to go that route! It's always been a part of my racing interest so to get up close and personal making it has been quite a thing! The thing is complete ruins and all you can really do is go up the spire - costs 3 Euros.

    Here's quick vid while I'm developing the AI for the speed run, just a quick pass. The AI was driving the car that crashes, I was driving the jet car!

    While building/editing etc.. I usually leave the AI running to see if any errors pop up. In the past I've found quite a few this way.

    Just now while playing around with some decal roads, I heard this awesome sounding car outside my house passing by on the hwy and suddenly one passed me in the game! IT WAS THE CAR in the game. That's how good this new sound system in the game is. You can hear cars from SO far away now and the EQ on the distance muffling is just such sweet sweet music to my ears!

    Anyway, I couldn't NOT post this.

    As for posting updates on the actual level.. here's a random print screen to satisfy the forum gods:

    Yeah, it's awesome. It gave me shivers when I heard an SBR4 in the distance. Oh, and sweet hairpin! I love sliding through hairpin turns.

    Thanks mang! I love sliding around them too, so to make things more challenging I've made the three major hair pins in the map rise in altitude as you drive them so it adds a whole new dynamic and I've yet to really master them for crying out loud haha.

    I've just spent almost TWO HOURS chasing down a bug in my code only to realize my code was completely fine it was the fact that I deleted a digit on my drag counter at some point.

    When I RESET the car to the start of the drag I have the code go through and set EACH decimal place of each lane to 'hidden' so it basically says:

    Lane 1, time decimal place 1 could be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,0, so set it to HIDDEN thus clearing that decimal place. Then do it to lane 1, time decimal place 2, etc.. Basically 500 digits per line (time and speed) per lane. HUNDREDS of digits.

    It kept saying, "error line 293" so I checked over and over and over and over and modified this that and the other thing only to realize. . . lane 1's TIME readout decimal place 3's digit #9 was somehow deleted.

    Now fixed.

    Gat dang.

    I try to always record while testing so that if I ever see something wild I can just go back and toss it aside for later.

    This just happened and I managed to catch it.

    All AI driven cars again as usual, but I'm just usin' the mouse to look around as the ai taxis me down the drag strip. Damn you VR6! (wish the modded cars were updated with the new sound engine!)
