This isue has been in this game from the start cars ether are not heavy enough or too heavy , for egzample covet understeers too tuch for i hatch back it cant pull turns that a mk1 mondeo with no steering fluid can do at 2times speed ,same isue is with automation cars it they are too light beam just reads NaN and crashes . also most stock tires are way too slippery its like they where from junkyard .
The vehicle don't drive how they should mainly because BeamNG lacks tire thermals/wear simulation, so every tire is "cold" thus why they might not do the best. A comparison between the Covet & a MK1 Mondeo isn't fair, as they're both 2 different cars, with different weight distribution, suspension setup & tire material. That's like comparing apples to oranges
BeamNG.drive's current lack of tire thermals doesn't mean every tire is "cold" - it actually means that every tire is always at optimal temperature. The Covet handles fine when not overdriven (ie. too much steering input) and can easily sustain 0.8g or more on a flat skidpad, much more on a banked turn. Edit: @DIESEL PESMA if a Ford Mondeo can take turns twice as fast as the Covet, that's actually 4x the lateral gees. So you're saying a Ford Mondeo can pull 3.2g on a skid pad? Edit 2: Almost as fast as Rowan Atkinson in a 122hp Kia Cee'd.
