Missing exe.

The game won't start due to missing EXE i tried every link to re-install plus the patch still not working.

 

go to the file location of beamng (right click/file location/) and scroll down to the file that should say update.exe. If it says update.exe.old then rename the folder to update.exe and hit that. . . if a window pops up when you rename it just hit "yes'

Disable your anti-virus and firewall and try again.

By chance, what country do you live in? Some government censorship program might be preventing the game from updating correctly. Also, you aren't using a proxy, are you? (School public wifi, hotel public wifi, public wifi in general, school/work/library computer connected to school/work/library internet, etc.) This is your home internet, with one router, one modem, or a router/modem combo in your house that you can go and touch and interact with and change settings?


EDIT: Easiest solution for someone not intimately familiar with networking would be to tote your PC off to a friend's house (preferably in a different neighborhood) and try to run the updater there. That is provided you don't live in the aforementioned police/overly conservative state.
