I too get the same reaction as the above poster.my full directory is C:\Users\tiffany\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\levels\CM_M22.I just got this game after playing the techdemo for awhile and this is the first map I have tried to install.I tried another released map with the same results.
How about putting some rocks around the outside of the death corners? Just something to prevent the vehicle from the abyss, just enough to get a "Ctrl+R" in there quick.
mike22 this map is awesome, speeding downhill and uphill! Very well made! The AI profile by LSDMT420 was really good! Gotta try that! Thank you both!
I appreciate the compliments, guys, thanks ! It took a while to mold that mountain from nothin'. I made the mesh in like 30 minutes.
I just opened up an online leader board for best completion times for my tracks. It's at http://www.m22tracks.com. I know. I'm plugging this where ever I can.
if you can, maybe find a way to add a lap counter to the timer, then once you complete a lap, have it ask you if you want to submit your time to the website (and then it will take a screenshot for you, and upload it and your times to the website (of course also asking for your forum username)) just a thought though
Heh, do you know how to achieve that with Lua code ( automatically take a screenshot and submit that info into a MYSQL database via PHP code ) ? Because I don't right now..
well, for the screenshot, you'd just have to have it detect when a lap is completed, then you could probably use the game's built in screenshot code to your advantage
I appreciate your idea. I thought about an automated system for it, but I'm not getting any money for this and it would eat a lot of my time to figure all that out since I don't know shit about Lua. I'm surprised I was able to code the lap timer.
Driving this track is the most fun I've had in a car game in quite a while. The remarkable thing about it is, either you drive it well and get the satisfaction of a job well done, or you don't, and get rewarded with a hilariously awesome crash down a mountainside. It's win-win! Great job Mike! Thanks for making this.
Very nice map mike, but have I do sth. wrong because if I start the map there is no timer ... but a nice map anyways
Ha, I know what you mean. Thanks, maybe you have some other on screen display that conflicts with it. Do you use a speedometer ?
How about some kind of Off-Road Trail or something. The map is definetly good for that kind of stuff? A real Rockcrawling map, or mud. Too few maps that actually have worthwhile, long Rockcrawling sections.
I attempted that while I was developing the terrain, but I couldn't get the dirt roads how I wanted them. It's such a bitch to smooth them to a point where they don't bounce a vehicle off the trail.
