I Think the Wentward DT40L Really needs more parts like Front Mudflaps (in front of the front axle) and Rear Mudflaps (Behind the rear axle), a Skoolie interior, and maybe a double deck tour version?!? Leave ideas Below. ↓↓↓ It would be great of someone could make there parts,Thanks!

I was down in San Francisco yesterday, and seeing the MUNI buses there made me realize that the DT40L is only powered by diesel. With more sources of fuel being added to the game, we could get variants that are powered by CNG, diesel-electric hybrids, battery-powered electric buses, and overhead cable trolleybuses.

edit: The trolleybuses in SF use trolley poles, not pantographs.

    I have a diesel-electric hybrid version of the DT40L ;)

It would be neat to see something official in the "hybrid" area though.

I actually think I downloaded your mod when it first came out! My only major problem with it that I remember was that the sound of the electric motor was too high pitched and was uncomfortable to listen to. I wonder if modifying the eSBR's motor sound could be feasible for your mod...

Depending on when you tried it, it's probably better; I changed the sounds quite a bit a while ago. It's much quieter and softer. You can also adjust the volume in the .jbeam files.

The diesel-electric transmission is series-hybrid, the eCVT is power-split hybrid. Both have their own advantage and disadvantages. Series-hybrid can do charge-deplete on-the-go since the input and output are decoupled, but the Motor-generators requires powe rating at least equal to ICE power. The eCVT when the gear-ratio is equal to the planetary gear ratio the MG1&MG2 is zero power, if the ratio is not, there's power transfer between MG1 and MG2, means the power rating of Motor-generators can be well below ICE power(smaller motor saving weight). But it cannot do charge-deplete while moving. The Citybus-Hybrid from @Arcanox is Power-Split, The WLD FS30-2 is series but has no battery.

The pure series is IMO easier than eCVT since no more planetary calculation and pid tuning. Just need a custom energy storage.

The WLD FS30-2 uses a torque converted CVT to emulate a diesel-electric
