    Line 98 in autobello_body.jbeam
    ["dash",0.27, 0.12, 1.18, 60,"b4ll","b4l","b3ll","b3l", "b2ll", "b2l"],

    It needs header and all that resides inside camerasInternal block
    ["type", "x", "y", "z", "fov", "id1:", "id2:", "id3:", "id4:", "id5:", "id6:"],

    So that dash cam is driver cam, afaik.

    Here in BX200 you can see it is named driver, but when you look body jbeam, on that location there is camera node named dash:

    Great, that worked. The only problem is the camera treats the car like it's LHD, so that when you try to look behind you to the left it moves as though you're trying to look out the window. Is there a way to reverse it?

    Overall a really decent mod, you did a good job.
    Only thing I really noticed in my driving around so far is the handling might seem a little odd at some points, but could very well be explained by what fufsgfen discovered.

    Ok, I looked at the steering, and it doesn't have FFB settings at all as it turns out. By adding
    Code:
    "input": {
            "FFBcoef":15,
        },
    to the steering, it feels a lot better. However, the main problem with it is the suspension setup. It runs positive camber and ~-1 degrees of front toe, which can't be doing the handling any favors, and the tuning menu refuses to even tell me what the caster is. The front suspension definitely needs some work, I would suggest using suspension from the 1989 pessima on it to start out with. It does look very nice though, and the Jbeam and model doesn't look to be too bad.

    As the author said:
    Please read the thread before saying something.
    I know that processing more than 3 digits at a time is a very hard task for your brain but, you know, just give it a try. Or just shut up if you don't know it.

    Add
    {"rightHandCamera":true},
    anywhere in the internal camera section.

    I've updated the mod to 0.3, below you can find the changes. As always, the download is in the OP.

    Note: I decided to add suspension variables now so that we can work towards getting a configuration that steers properly. I'll then set these to default in future. Hopefully everyone finds the car handles better with these changes.

    Changes in 0.3:
    • Improvements to suspension:
    1. Readjusted front suspension geometry to more closely resemble pessima front suspension
    2. Fixed incorrectly defined torque reaction nodes for wheels, shaking is less prevalent, and the car's front suspension no longer dips under acceleration
    3. Disabled node collisions for some suspension components resulting in greater jbeam stability
    4. Reinforced steering rack and front subframe
    5. Variables added for front suspension (camber, caster, toe, tyre pressure)
    6. Variables added for rear suspension (camber, tyre pressure)
    • License plates added (American and EU styles) (thanks @Alex_Farmer557 !)
    • Car horn added (thanks @Alex_Farmer557 !)
    • Tow hitch added (thanks @Alex_Farmer557 !)
    • Driver camera now supported
    • Orbit camera is now centred on car
    • Added basic force feedback to steering (thanks @Capkirk !)
    • Realigned rear wheel flexbody to centre of spindle
    • Engine mounts strengthened

    nice mod, looks sharp, sounds good enough, and brings a fresh rewarding drive to the rather drab lineup of FWD beamng cars.

    my only gripe is an unrealistic lack of grip. the treadwear right now feels about 500, possibly realistic for some street tires, but a sport/semislick add on would be nice and take moments to do. otherwise handles great. suspension is spot on

    Good idea, I'll probably add this to 0.4.

    I decided to release a small patch (0.3.1) which allows the user to increase the ride height further, this makes low stiffness setups more viable. Download is in the OP. I had a play around with setups myself and it is possible to make the car less understeery this way. I would recommend removing the anti-roll bar as well if you want to minimise understeer.

    Ah, looks like it hasn't been attached to the frame properly. I'll fix that in the next update.
