While I am sure I don't need to be telling you this, poly density and general poly flow are equally as important as overall poly count
Yep, I have some sounds right now, but I don't know if it sounds like the real thing or not Also the engine textures are mostly done View attachment 556154
The question was regarding poly count, not poly flow and density, however you are correct; Too high of density in one area can negatively impact deformation in game, and in some cases can also negatively impact shading, among other things. My point was that he shouldn't modify the model at this point if he wishes to use it, and has gotten permission. If he's going to do anything to it he might as well make a new model, which at that point then discussing poly flow, poly count, and poly density would be much more relevant. But my other question still stands, @JSZ2005 , what vehicle JBeam are you using as a base for this mod? I highly doubt it's all 100% your work.
it’s not all my work, i am using the d series jbeam for the cab and bed and the engine and suspension was different since the one from the d series didn’t work
Fantastic, cant wait to see it This cab is also used for medium duty trucks, will be a great addition, there is no vehicle in this class in the game
kinda like this mod, i loved this mod, cant wait to see how your comes out https://www.worldofmods.com/beamng/cars/26358-ford-f-150-ranger-1984-v40.html
coulda linked to the one on the forums at least https://www.beamng.com/threads/1980s-ford-f150-new-and-improved.23167/
If you need sounds, my neighbor has a '68 F-100 with the 5.9 in it and I could potentially convince him to rev it for me once or twice to get the sounds.
Thanks for the offer, I will pm you if I need the sounds, as of now I am mainly working on the actual vehicle, details like sounds and stuff will be added later
Yeah, the model is from a 1970 Ford F-250 Camper Special, i'm not certain what the motor exactly is though
Good work, keep it up! But I'd recommend you to firstly like, finish the body textures before going to the engine textures. But it's mostly your choice, though.
