Nope I am going to make a new one

Of course! In the original that got deleted somehow, it was possible to get everywhere. Since the entire story revolves around a massive racing community, it would be likely someone would figure out how to repave roads, or at least make them more drivable.

On a different note, if you have time, would you ever be able to help me with the files? I really don't know how to package it so people can actually play it (and I forget how to save the maps so I've only been able to do some tinkering, and nothing major.

Try something like altering the rocks like how I did here maybe? (Sorry if it's a little sloppy) Also try indenting the road a little and adding bushes some bushes or trees.. or was it just recent?
    (Ignore that floating rock lol)

This takes place at the same time as Fallout: New Vegas, so 2281. I won't majorly alter the rocks though I will add a lot more. There won't be too much vegetation besides some that is already there and some other areas, since everything should be pretty dead, especially in an area like Utah. Roads will be affected to the point where they are more challenging to navigate, besides a few select areas that will be cleaned, as they are race tracks and/or major roads.

If your original 'got deleted somehow' it was likely when you cleared cache.
Do a search of the documents\beamng.drive folder for one labeled BACKUPS or BACKUP, that's where it stuck your map if it 'deleted' it one day magically (other than when your computer died).
it would be backups/levels/YOURMAP (whatever it's called).
To save files so people can actually play it you need to know how to bulk-rename stuff, like using Notepad++ to 'find in files' and REPLACE ALL in your levels\utah\ folder replacing everything with a .CS and .JSON extention that has /utah/ with /xelerateFO/ or whatever you want to call it, to update paths to a new folder (then you can rename your map folder to xelerateFO or whatever you changed it to). It can not have spaces, punctuation, dash - or anything other than numbers/letters, you can use _ underscore though.
Make SURE to keep the leading and trailing / character otherwise script references other than paths will be changed and you will not have fun (if any luck at all) fixing your map.
There's tutorials about using Notepad++ (not regular Windows Notepad) on Youtube, on how to 'create your own map'. The copying files and changing paths parts should still be correct even if a few versions old.
Always back up your work weekly, and if you make models like I do, make sure to back those up also. My C: drive erased itself 3 days after Chris-Mess last year, but I had backups.

To make your map so that others can play it, create another /levels/ folder somewhere else in your computer, on any drive. Make sure to not put anything but a copy of your map folder in it. Make a copy (click+drag while holding CTRL I believe it is) into your new levels folder, then go up a level so your in the folder where you can just see the 'levels' folder that you just made a few minutes before, right click, and (either with 7-zip or Windows in-built compression feature), add it to a .zip file. If you open the new zip file it should be /levels/YOURMAP/main (and so forth). All zip files for ALL mods need to start with LEVELS folders (for maps!) (I think it's VEHICLES for vehicles obviously, where appropriate, but don't quote me on that because I've yet to make a car mod).

I hope some of this helped. If you need something clarified, open another map zip file up, and see if you can glean some information that way by example, or just ask, I'm usually on every day or two or a few times a day. If I don't respond right away just tag my name so that I see it come up on the feed.
I could be a bit busy as I have to un-crumple my nephew's Nissan that he ran into someone with, and make it run again... but I'll try to check these messages at-least once a day (afternoon-evening USA time is best). The fun never ends!

@Mr.Bot you cannot always tip those tall rock faces as they have no back to the model (to save on FPS), you can move them a bit, but it's better to add more to create the features you want (kind of like I did in Nevada Interstate with much worse-looking Quake-era low-poly rocks), then to have 'holes' breaking the immersion because you can then see 'behind' the rocks. It's a neat idea though. We need more rock objects to toy around with to make cool stuff like overhanging cliff faces, and small tunnels in rock etc. I used those rocks in Roane County (a bit re-colored), you can do a lot with them though.

@Cooldriver10 Please be helpful and constructive on the forum here. If your post isn't towards the greater good of others, it might not be a good thing to post. Please be aware that this is a discussion forum where people like almost-40-year-old-me try to help others make maps awesome (or even more awesome). Saying things like 'you talk too much' to someone who's trying to help others (in a *discussion forum* at that) might not bode well for you - especially in the real-world - that might get you "sat on". I am so very, very, very sorry if I am not 'cool' enough for you sunshine, but I can't change that, nor will I ever attempt to. *sad strings in the background* If you think I talk too much here you should see my own threads - definitely NOT a place for those with some form of Attention Deficit (Hyper) Disorder - you have been warned.

...I will however keep bringing awesome contributions to the BeamNG community and trying to help others do the same, regardless, as that's what I am here to do. I just don't make the world's greatest guidance counselor... *sigh* No one's perfect, I reckon.

You go buddy! Good luck with that. Sometimes my novels I write (where posts normally go) come in quite handy.
Please always back up, even if it's to an old 1GB USB flash drive. You can always use a free 5~50gb file storing/sharing service like Mega (dot NZ), as I do here. Just make sure to send yourself a message on here with the backup links to your file(s) in-case your computer breaks and you lose the map AND your logins.

I wish you the best, I will surely give it a shot and write an honest review when the time comes (or, at-least when I see it and have time to play this mods / other mods, too). Post-apocalyptic maps can be fun - as I had quite the fun time building - and even more-so playing my 2-floor abandoned derelict mall in my city map I'm working on.

    --Cheers!

so i need some help. My Utah map has been all screwed up because of this and I need a new one. I tried to clear the cache but it didn't work so if anyone has the new Utah map file for me that'd be helpful

I believe if you delete the map, and verify game integrity on steam then it should re-download itself. However, in case it does not work I am uploading the zip and pming it to you when finished :)
