Just curious if there is an opinion on what BeamNG likes to run on "best" or most stable. I have been running Beam on Win 10 for about a year. I generally find the experience less than ideal, with program crashes and micro freeze ups when driving. I was considering trying to set up a Win 7 partition on my drive and seeing if I could run it from there and if it would be an improvement...

Windows 10 does not conflict with BeamNG at all. It is 100% compatible. I've had no issues with running it on Windows 10. What are your PC specs?

replaced the HD with SSD yesterday in the hopes that it would smooth things out, bit early to tell but it doesn't seem to have helped the glitcheyness.

The devs mostly use windows 10. That does not sounds like normal at all. Could you do a video or so?

Just had a good thrash on it and it seems to be behaving a bit better today. If Win 10 is fine then I will persevere with it. Probably to hasty making this post after my changes and I need to get use to it, my tech gave me some advice on removing and turning stuff off that wasn't needed on the system and we made a few "adjustments".

Is Windows 10 the original OS or was it upgraded? My experience is that when an upgrade install is done, it introduces problems that are not there with a clean install.

Computer came with Win 10 from new.
All good. It seems to have sorted itself out, reinstalling Windows, Steam and BeamNG along with adding a SSD and turning off a few resource hogs seems to have done the trick. Good to know Beam is supposed to run on 10.
    Thanks

The game was developed in Windows 10, according to one of the moderators. This means Windows 10 should be the most stable platform running BeamNG.drive. However Windows 10 itself is less stable than Windows 7.

Yeah, but Microsoft is dropping support for 7 if I recall correctly. I’d stick with the advice of the company’s founder.
