Isnt it nice for developers to not have ANY

competition?

Because afaik this is a one of a kind game.

Would be nice i think to work there to not have to worry about what the competition is gonna do.

 

Nope, no competition. Just steady and consistent updates from a small team working towards a highly refined soft body driving simulator, and they have a very supportive and active modding community to boot!

 

Well there is The Next Car Game. But we don’t talk about them.

 

I don't think next car game counts as true competition. Next Car game lacks many of the elements that make BeamNG what it is, such as true soft body physics, accurate tire and drive train physics and realistic production cars. Therefor, I'd qualify Next car game as an arcade racer while BeamNG is more of a hardcore simulator game.

 

It certainly is not a competitor in the traditional sense, but it shares a healthy ammount of the playerbase. Being that there is a large population of children who just want a crashing game, and these two plus RoR are the only real options, they end up competing for much of the same market.
